A Message from the Presid€ht....Seldom is it possible to have your cakeand eat it too! Howeverr this past yearhas been the exception, for I have beenable to do both and the challenges willcontinuen to test our verY souls! Our mission statement may seem elu'sive, but fulfilling our promise to thosewho have gone before and those who will continue in ourfootsteps, is possible. Success in perpetuating our legacydepends on our determination to step outside the box, and

stop thinking as we did thirty years ago. Today, we must re'alize our limitations, accept our history and cherish thepart we played in the defense of The Republic of Korea and

the United StateS Of AmeriCa. Thank $Oll.'.........€VrBfyOne!

We told them the VA does many things well, but what they don't do is provide timely medical treatment

and that is inexcusable. Their excellent physicians often provide medical treatment with their hands tiedbehind their backs by the bureaucrats, who stifle both quality and expediency.

We asked for greater access to local doctors and local hospi-tals for all service connected disabled veterans in need oftimely care. It passed the Congress and has been signed intolaw! They added some bureaucratic restraints of course!!!!!

Tom Russell of USBlinds in South Day-tona made a substan-tial contribution to the

The best way to save lives is to prevent combatinjuries with intense training upfront. That's whereRaydon's advanced Unstabilized Gunnery Trainersand Virtual Convoy Operations Trainers excel. Theyaccurately simulate combat situations soldiers willfind overseas, so they're highly prepared beforebeing deployed. When our trainers are used forthe duration of an event, first-run crew qualificationrates double. We don't play around when it comesto saving lives.

The music this evening is being provided by Gwen Redman, US Navy Veteran

Born and raised in St Louis Mo where she sang and played guitar with her fatherAnd paternal grandmother throughout her childhood. Music was, and hasRemained, an integral part of her entire life.

Along with honoring veterans and assisting withNeeds (including benefits applications), she also give presentations to staff andcaregivers on veteran culture to help better relate to the veteran... "to betterserve those who have served us".

ln her words:

! thank God every day for the privilege of being able to give back and make adifference in the lives of veterans. I have Iived in Central Florida for 25 yearswith a wonderful family support system including 5 grandchildren, ALL the appleOf my eye. Life is so good!
