Principal’s Corner...

Our children are bombarded with images and messages that glorify the idea of “selfies” and the celebration of a self-centered focus. To support our students inpracticing to look outside of themselves and building relationships with others, ourHarmanize lessons this year are centered around kindness, inclusion, and empathy. We have been able to find many wonderful examples in literature and media to highlight positive examples including books by Trudy Ludwig and R. J. Polacio. If you have not taken the opportunity to read Wonder, or We’re All Wonders for youngerstudents, I would encourage you to find time to read and enjoy. The movie is also a wonderful depiction of a special young man and the way he impacts the lives of everyone around him. It is a great conversation starter for families to share and discuss your family’s values and the importance of recognizing the beauty in allpeople.

During a season which can become more about the hustle and bustle, I hope you find time to relax and enjoy your loved ones. Wishing all of our Harman families a wonderful holiday season of love, joy, laughter, and growth!

Respectfully,Sarah Patterson

Special Thanks

Many thanks to all of our families who give so generously of their time, treasures and talents. Special thanks to all who made Trivia Night such a big success and to those who

have contributed to the delicious staff luncheons! We appreciate you!
