About the CastAbout the Cast one of her family’s favorite Christmas stories. She is currently in second grade and is homeschooled. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Elizabeth “Bizy” Jacobs (Children’s Ensemble) Elizabeth is thrilled to make her community theater debut at Susquehanna Stage. She is a fifth grader who enjoys singing, dancing, and art. She studies dance at the Silver Spring Dance Conserva-tory. She would like to thank her dance teacher, Miss Cindy. She would also like to thank her mom for encouraging her to participate in shows, even though at first she didn’t want to. But now she DOES!
Cory Jenkins (Mark A. Beeler/Children’s Ensemble) is a freshman at the Lehigh Valley Charter School of the Arts. He is thrilled to be back on the Susquehanna Stage. Cory’s first performance was as Aladdin in the Susquehanna Stage Com-pany’s production of Aladdin Kids. He has also performed in SSC’s Dear Edwina Jr., Peter Pan, and The Fulton’s Wizard of Oz.
Sydney Jones (Children’s Ensemble) Sydney is eight years old and attends Done-gal Intermediate School. She has been studying dance for five years, including bal-let, jazz, lyrical, gymnastics, hip hop, and jazz funk. She has studied piano for two years and began voice and theater instruction this year. Sydney attended the sum-mer camp at Susquehanna Stage Company and recently performed in The Sound of Music as Gretl and in Stars of the Future Cabaret for Lancaster’s Extra Give. She is thrilled to be in Miracle on 34th Street!
Ryan Kimbark (Harry Finfer/Children’s Ensemble) Ryan is excited to perform again at Susquehanna Stage Company. His former roles include Michael Darling in Peter Pan and Abu in Aladdin Jr. at SSC and the children’s choir in Joseph and the Amaz-ing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Lancaster Mennonite High School. He wishes every-one a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Jered Mackison (Tommy Mara/Children’s Ensemble) Jered is the son of Scott and Colleen Mackison of Maytown. He is 11 years old and in the 5th grade at Donegal Intermediate School. Miracle on 34th Street is Jered's 8th show here at SSC! He was 5 years old when he performed in his first show. Besides performing in the lar-ger productions here, he is also active in the children's workshops and summer camps. Jered says that what he enjoys most about being involved at SSC are the people. He feels like we are all one big family. Outside of the theater, he enjoys playing football for the Donegal Braves, playing video games, reading, and hanging out with his friends and his older sister, Morgan.
Ben Prentiss (Children’s Ensemble) Ben was last seen at SSC in the Children’s Workshop productions of Dear Edwina Jr. and Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. He has also participated in shows at Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Genesius, and Prima Theater. Ben wishes to thank his family for all their support and encouragement!
Jennifer Waldron (Children’s Ensemble) Jennifer thinks that this production is so amazing and thrilling and she is honored to be in it. She has been a part of different shows, including Dear Edwina Jr., The Music Man, Peter Pan, and most recently, Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. When not performing, Jennifer loves to be in the band playing the clarinet. She hopes that this production will be the most fun and cheery production ever!

About the CastAbout the Cast Colleen Mackison (Mrs. Mara/Ensemble) Miracle on 34th Street is Colleen's sec-ond time on stage at SSC. Her first role was Truvy in the 2013 production of Steel Magnolias. She has helped behind the scenes at SSC for many productions, doing ushering, costumes, hair, and makeup. She is a lifelong resident of Maytown. She has worked for 10 years as a library assistant for the Donegal School District and has her own beauty shop in Maytown called the "Maytown Beauty Barr.” Colleen and her husband, Scott, are the proud parents of two amazing children, Jered and Mor-gan. Colleen would like to thank Kevin, Pat and Sharon for all their time and hard work they offer to put this show together.
Jordyn McCrady (Dame Girl Scout/Ensemble) Jordyn is excited to be dancing again on stage after last being seen as the Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods. Previous credits at SSC include Peter Pan (Tiger Lily), 1776 (Martha Jefferson) and Arsenic and Old Lace (Elaine Harper). PSU Capital Players credits include Lippa’s Wild Party (Kate), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (Janet), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey) and Grease (Rizzo). Jordyn is currently on the SSC Board of Directors and serves as Marketing Coordinator for the theater. Thanks to Mom and Dad, and her leading man on stage and in life, Asher.
Brooke Mullen (Ensemble) Brooke is excited to be back in an SSC show. Brooke’s previous credits include playing an orphan in Annie and performing in all the Chil-dren’s Workshop Productions: School House Rock, Dear Edwina, Aladdin and The Jungle Book. Thank you to Linda and Pat for asking her to be in this show and thanks to Mom and Dad for all your love and support.
Annalise Prentiss (Ensemble) Annalise was last seen at SSC in the Stars of the Future Cabaret. She has also been on the stages of The Fulton, Dutch Apple, Prima, Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Genesius, and Carlisle Theater Company. Annal-ise’s favorite role, Little Inez (Hairspray) was played twice this summer. Annalise wishes to thank the production team for all their encouragement and her family for all their love and support!
Susan Prentiss (Henrika’s Mother/Ensemble) Susan is thrilled to be sharing the stage with her children. Usually she is in the audience watching them perform. Susan wishes to thank Jim, Jacquee, Pat, and Kevin and all the production staff at Susquehanna Stage Company for this wonderful opportunity!
Jim Strickler (Drunk Santa/Mr. Gimbel) Jim has been with SSC since 2010. He first appeared in the production of Our Town and happy to be part of the “family” today. He has appeared in ten different productions and has assisted with our children’s education programs.
Jess Yahner (Ensemble) Jess is a veteran of many local theater productions as an actor, director, and choreographer. She is excited to be performing with SSC for the first time, especially because she is sharing the stage with her son Adam. Jess wishes to thank her loving and supportive friends and family.
Adam Bateman (Children’s Ensemble) Adam is thrilled to be making his musical theater debut in this production of Miracle on 34th Street. He is a seven year old second grader at Derry Township. In his free time Adam enjoys superheroes, playing with Legos, and taking karate lessons.
Sarah Biltz (Children’s Ensemble) Sarah is 11 years old and passionate about read-ing and theater. This is her second production at Susquehanna Stage Company with many more to come.
Mary Frances Eschenwald (Henrika/Children’s Ensemble) This is her first theater experience. She has attended the Dutch Apple Summer Broadway Bound Camp and Silver Spring Dance Conservatory for modern dance. She also takes voice lessons from Abrom Vocal Studios. She is so happy to be a part of this production as this is

Eileen Cushey (Mailwoman/Ensemble) There's no place like home for the holidays, which is why Eileen chose to spend hers on the SSC stage. A former cast member of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, Eileen returned to SSC this year and has been pleased to appear in three of this season's productions. Here is hoping that 2016 will be just as magical!
Niamh Cushey (Ensemble) Appearing in her second SSC show this season, Niamh is excited to share the holidays with her family at SSC. She would like to thank Kevin Krum for allowing her to show off her Irish Step Dancing experience, as she has spent the past year as a student at Hooley School of Irish Dance. Also special thanks to the Johnson family for all their encouragement and support.
Alex Flattery (Policeman) Alex has performed numerous shows here at SSC includ-ing 1776, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Peter Pan. Appearing in his fourth show with SSC, Alex would like to thank everyone involved in SSC productions as well as his friends and family who support him.
John Fleming (Whitey/Ensemble) John has been a part of Susquehanna Stage Company since its founding in 2009 with The Music Man. This will be his seventh show as an actor. Some of his favorite roles include Friedrich in The Sound of Music and Jack in Into the Woods. John is thrilled to have worked with this amazing cast and hopes that all attending enjoy the performance.
Beth Gable (Clara/Ensemble) This is Beth’s sixth show with SSC, and her second Christmas show. She was most recently seen as Janice Vickery in The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. Thanks to the cast and the creative team for making this show so amazing!
Sylvia Garner (Ensemble) Sylvia is a senior at Donegal High School and enjoys spending all the time she can with her family here at SSC. Sylvia began here as a techie for 1776 and never stopped. From there, she appeared on the SSC stage as an actor for the first time in Peter Pan. She is ecstatic to work with a group filled with people she has already taken the stage with, her family, and wonderful new faces. Have a very Merry Christmas!
Kara Hartman (Ensemble) Kara is happy to be involved with this production. She considers SSC her theater home. Favorite productions at SSC include Almost, Maine, Peter Pan (Mrs. Darling), Annie (Grace), and Urinetown (Hope Clad-well). Thank you for supporting the arts!
Tammy (Smith) Jacobs (Miss Simms/Ensemble) Tammy is excited to return to the stage after a VERY long hiatus. She is pleased to be making her Susquehanna Stage debut with her daughter Bizy. She wants to thank Kevin for “always believing in me and being there for me. I am so very blessed because you are in my life.” Thanks also to God for his many blessings and for family for their support and love.
Tylia Jenkins (Mrs. Beeler/Ensemble) Tylia is new to the stage. She has previously operated off stage as a kid-wrangler, spotlight operator, and box office worker. She is excited for the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful production.
Philip Jones (Alvin/Ensemble) Philip is a homeschooled junior and is glad to be in the show even at the last minute. This is his first experience at Susquehanna Stage Company, and the community here is amazing. He has enjoyed his roles in previous shows such as Pride and Prejudice (Mr. Collins), and is currently in The Knave of Hearts at LAPA. Love to everyone in the cast, and to Kevin for putting up with us!
Krissy Kimbark (Mrs. Finfer/Ensemble) Krissy is excited to play Harry Finfer’s mother on stage and in real life. She wishes you all a Blessed Holiday surrounded by those you love.

About the CastAbout the Cast
The Music Man, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Peril on the High Seas, The Sound of Music, The Other Woman, and The Star Spangled Girl. When not acting, Scott is an Account Executive for Johnson Controls and lives in Middletown. A huge “thank you” goes out to my wife Deb and my family for supporting all my theater habits.
Ali Fleming (Mrs. Crookshank/Ensemble) This is Ali's second time on stage this year, the last being as Rapunzel in Into the Woods. This is her first Christmas show at SSC and she's very excited to be working with such an amazing group of actors and hopes you enjoy the show.
James Marley (Judge Group) James was last seen onstage at Susquehanna Stage Co. this past summer as the Narrator/Old Man in Into the Woods and in the past as the Old Actor in The Fantasticks. Wishing everyone a happy holidays and a fantastic new year! (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Timothy Monaghan (Tammany O’Halloran) Tim is happy to be returning to the Susquehanna Stage Company stage! Former roles at SSC include Harold Hill in The Music Man and Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls. He credits any and all abilities to his savior, Jesus Christ. Offstage, Tim has directed a production and currently lends his talents administratively at SSC as the business manager. Tim lives in Lancaster city with his wife, Lindsay and dog, Beulah. Thanks goes out to his wife for her undying love and support!
Scott Mackison (Thomas Mara, Sr.) Scott is the current Vice-Chairman of the SSC Board and the current in-house Technical Director. He is employed by Frey-Lutz Corporation as a plumber-pipefitter. He is married to his best friend Colleen Macki-son, and is the proud parent of Jered and Morgan. They reside in Maytown. This is his second show at SSC, having been in 1776.
Larry Boozer (Governor) Larry is making his first appearance on the Susquehanna Stage. Previously, he was in two Donegal School District staff musicals. He played the Winkie General in The Wizard of Oz and went to the ball with the ensemble in Cinderella. He is best known for set construction at Donegal, Penn State Harrisburg and SSC.
Linda Shields Boozer (Ensemble) Linda is a founding board member of SSC who played Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in SSC's first community show, The Music Man. Other SSC shows along the way include: Our Town, The Sound of Music, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, It's a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play, Rumors, Baby and Into the Woods. She directed the SSC Children's Workshop shows Disney's Jungle Book KIDS, Disney's Aladdin KIDS, and Dear Edwina, Jr. Linda is thrilled that community theater is thriving in Marietta!
Dale Boyer (Bailiff/Ensemble) Dale Boyer’s first taste of theater came with a walk on, non-speaking part in the DHS 1974 production of Brigadoon. It began a lifelong love of theater together with his wife and co-star, Sharon. Dale has been involved with many productions in school and community theaters, particularly with set con-struction. Being involved with productions at SSC “is the only way I get to see my wife.” Dale was fortunate to have been on stage for SSC’s 1776 as Col. Thomas McKean, and as the dead guy in Lucky Stiff. Now he is back.
Kevin Conti (Ensemble) After a three-year absence from the theater, Kevin is ec-static to be back in his fifth show on the SSC stage! He also appeared in three pro-ductions at Penn State Harrisburg, where he graduated in 2012 with a degree in Humanities and English.
Mia Vera Cruz (Dream Susan/Ensemble) Mia plays "dream" Susan in the show. It's a fun role to play with all the dancing she does. Mia has been dancing for 15 years
About the CastAbout the Cast Lydia Jones (Doris Walker) Lydia is honored and thrilled to set foot on the Susque-hanna Stage once again! She most recently appeared in Into the Woods and The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds. With aspirations of perform-ing for a living, Lydia has studied with Joanne Abrom, Marion O'Sullivan, Bonnie Bosso, and the theater faculty at Messiah College. She plans to continue her arts education at a collegiate level in 2016. Favorite roles: Anna (The King and I), Pitti-Sing (Hot Mikado), Miss Dorothy (Thoroughly Modern Millie). So much love to the SSC community! Special thanks to Kevin Krum and Jim Johnson. Merry Christmas— here's love!
Olivia Alberto (Susan Walker 12/4-6) Olivia is excited to be making her musical appearance in her first ever lead role with the Susquehanna Stage Company. She returns to SSC after her appearance in School House Rock Live, Jr. last May. Livy is in 5th grade and aspires to one day become an actress on the big screen. She would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her through this journey.
Abbey Michnya (Susan Walker 12/9-13) Abbey is super stoked to be making her onstage debut as Susan Walker in Miracle on 34th Street. Abbey lives in Hempfield with her family and attends third grade at Farmdale Elementary School. She enjoys being on the summer swim team, attending hip-hop dance classes and taking voice lessons. Her favorite places to visit are Disneyworld and the beach. Abbey would like to thank her mom and dad for their love and support. She also thanks everyone at Susquehanna Stage Company for allowing her to enjoy this amazing opportunity.
Kent Gable (Fred) Kent’s been in three shows at SSC and has helped behind the scenes with several more. He was last seen as Buzz in last year’s A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol. This is his first time in a lead role, and he’d like to thank Lydia, Abbey, Olivia, and Mark for making it awesome with him. When he’s not a singing lawyer and executing perfect door-opening timing, he works at Brubacher Excavat-ing in Ephrata.
Mark T. Stoner (Kris Kringle) Mark is a native of Akron, PA and grew to love musical theater through his participation in the arts programs of the Ephrata Area School District. He now lives in Lancaster City and works as a Senior Art Director at God-frey. Mark connected with the Susquehanna Stage Co. through his involvement in Lancaster’s Music for Everyone Community Chorus, where his skills at whisker-growing led to great acclaim. Mark would like to thank his friends and family – with a special thanks to all his teachers in this process from Christmases both past and present.
Nick Roden (Mr. Shellhammer) This will be Nick's 35th show since 2010 both on stage and back stage. His favorite role was being a pirate in Peter Pan. He plans to take a stage hiatus after this show in order to focus on graduating from high school, but don't worry - he'll be running around backstage!
Jason Spickler (R.H. Macy) Jason is happy to return to the SSC stage, having pre-viously appeared in a variety of backstage, ensemble, and supporting roles including Max in The Sound of Music and Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. He is a founding member of the Susquehanna Stage Co. and served as Administrative Director for six years. In addition, he has directed the SSC produc-tions of Willy Wonka, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Urinetown (co-directed with Kevin Krum), and Annie, and has served as the musical director and/or orchestra conductor for several SSC musical productions. Thank you to our ever-growing SSC “family” and community for their continued support of live local theater in Marietta!
Scott Schmittel (Mr. Sawyer) Scott is thrilled to be a part of the talented cast of Miracle… Some of Scott’s memorable roles include parts in Spelling Bee, A Christ-mas Carol, That Championship Season, Arsenic and Old Lace, A Christmas Story,
From the DirectorFrom the Director
Most of you are probably more familiar with Meredith Willson's first success on Broadway, his classic The Music Man. That show was later made into a film and watching that on TV as a boy was my first exposure to his genius. I can remem-ber thinking how wonderful it would be to be Tommy Djilas. Little did I know I would be given a chance to do just that. As an equity apprentice at the Jupi-ter Theater in Florida, I had the good fortune to be cast as Tommy in their pro-duction starring Gregory Harrison in the title role.
The same person who directed that production, Tony nominated Norb Jorder would later offer me a chance to do a tour of the show. This time Harold Hill, would be played by John Schneider (you old timers will remember him as Beau Duke from the "Dukes of Hazard,” and younger ones as Superman's father on "Smallville.”)
Only this time I would be an ensemble member and understudy/cover for Tommy. A younger dancer who had just won "Starsearch" would be playing my part. That dancer was a very talented young man, Christopher Gatellia. Some of you Broadway fans may recognize his name. He won the Tony in 2012 for choreographing Newsies.
Having been fortunate enough to work with these and some other very tal-ented and celebrated people, I have learned that creative geniuses like Mere-dith Willson know exactly what they are doing when they put together a musi-cal. So when some people told me Here's Love (the original title of Miracle on 34th Street) was a clunker, I thought to myself, really? Maybe they’re missing something. I hope that after you see our production you will agree with me that Mr. Wilson knew what he was doing when he put together this show.
No production is ever easy and given the size of this one and the time of year we are doing it, I can tell you that this one has had more than its share of challenges…But, it has also had its share of blessings and I am also humble enough to realize that all of those things that fell into place had very little to do with me and more to do with a bigger plan.
A huge THANK YOU, especially to all those doing double duty being in this show and running this theater! Sharon, Pat and Clinton—thanks for putting up with me through this process.
And finally, I would like to dedicate my work on this piece to three special la-dies, Nomee and Cheryl for sharing their holiday magic with me and to my mother whose birthday happens to be on December 25, and who taught me "the giving is always better then the getting!”

About Our Production TeamAbout Our Production Team Kevin D. Krum, AEA (Director) A prolific Actor/Dancer/Director/Choreographer, local credits include: Susquehanna Stage Co. productions of Night Watch (Dir.), Urinetown (Asst. Dir./Choreo.), The Music Man (Asst. Dir./Choreo.); The Fulton Theater - The Sound of Music with Jonathan Groff (Asst. Dir./Choreo.); The Jupiter Theater - Odd Couple with William Christopher (Asst. Dir.). Kevin has also directed and or assisted/choregraphed over 20 productions at Donegal High School and other local high schools from 1996-2008. He is also a member of the interactive improv cast at Bube’s Brewery’s themed Feasts. His performance credits include Broadway Tours: 42nd Street - Zurich Company, The Music Man with John Schnei-der and Christopher Gattelli, Annie Get Your Gun with Andrea McArdle; Regional: Pizazz with Debbie Boone and Barry Williams - Myrtle Beach; Evita with Dave Clemons - Miami; Apprentice Program Jupiter Theater, Florida: My One and Only, West Side Story, Hello Dolly with Avery Schreiber, The Music Man with Gregory Harrison, Most Happy Fella with David Holiday; classes with Donald O’Connor, Tommy Tune, Tim Conway, Phyllis Diller and Tony Bennett; Guest Artist at a num-ber of Universities including the Turku Institute in Turku, Finland. 1984 to 2013: Per-forming/Choreographing/Teaching with Movement Laboratory Youth Ensemble’s “Good Will Thru-Dance” tours with Friendship Ambassadors of the United Nations touring to over 14 different countries.
Pat Enos (Vocal Director) Pat is proud that she has been a part of the Susquehanna Stage Company family since 2011 when she retired from teaching at Donegal High School. While at Donegal, Pat taught vocal music and especially enjoyed her work as vocal director of the Rhythm Singers and high school musicals. Working at SSC, she has served as the vocal director for various productions including Guys and Dolls, Urinetown, 1776 and Peter Pan. She also loves working with the Children’s Workshop Productions and summer education camps. A heartfelt thank you to the cast, production team and staff at SSC for their dedication any many hours of work in presenting this Christmas Classic. “Here’s Love”—to you all!
Sharon Boyer (Orchestra Director/Rehearsal Pianist) Sharon began her career with musical theater in high school and in college as a singer and actor. During this time she also started accompanying musicals on piano, as well as oboe and English horn for school and community organizations. In addition, she served as the vocal director and sometimes the orchestra director for several of those productions. Most recently she has been working in various capacities at Susquehanna Stage Company. She has music directed and served as rehearsal pianist behind the scenes, as well as appeared on stage for several productions. Her favorite roles include Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Abigail Adams in 1776.
Jacquee Johnson (Costume Designer) Jacquee is a founding member of Susque-hanna Stage Company and a past chairman of the board. Jacquee’s costume de-signs have been seen on every mainstage production at SSC. Her designs have also been seen at EPAC, Donegal High School, Penn State Harrisburg and Ephrata High School. By day, Jacquee works as an emotional support para-educator at Elizabethtown High School. Her spare time is spent in her garden or by the pool or decorating her house for the seasons. Much love to Jim, Dylan, Asher and Jordyn!
