Who We AreDebs Textile Corporation is a manufacturer and seller oftextile piece goods mainly for the womenswear market.Headquartered in Japan, we integrate the most innovativeyarns and finishing techniques to offer our customersfabrics that are beautiful yet functional, luxurious yetaffordable, and inspirational yet commercial.

Since the Debs family first came to Japan in 1917 andofficially established the company in 1932, wehave continued to adapt to the constantly evolving industrywith a great passion, and have now become one of thelargest textile converting and trading groups out of Japan.

The group is integrated in both manufacturing andtrading to flexibly support the various demands of themarket and currently exports to more than 70 countries.

We strive to make fabric buying easy and accessible byintegrating both our converting and trading operations intosimple and carefully designed collections that are availablethrough our sales networks worldwide.

Our History1917 - The arrival of Ezzat Debs to Japan, the first ofthe Debs family to come to the Orient. Ezzat was theson of a textile merchant and owner of a cottonprocessing mill in the Middle East.

1928 - The arrival of Abdul Hadi Debs to Japan to assisthis brother, Ezzat, in establishing a trading company that willexport silk and cotton greige goods to their affiliatesin the UK, Middle East, and Africa.

1932 - The establishment of A. Debs & Company,a general trading company based in Yokohama, Japan.

1950 - The arrival of Fouad Debs, nephew of Ezzat and AbdulHadi to Japan to help with the opening of theOsaka Branch office. He worked in Osaka to specializeand expand on the growing trade of textile piece goods.

1981 - A. Debs & Company ventures into fabricconverting of their own original fabrics, and beginsestablishing relationships with weavers and finishers.

1987 - The company pioneers a new type of fabric –Sandwashed Cupro – which becomes an instant hit andsuccess, launching the company strongly into the European,USA, and Latin American countries.

1992 – A. Debs & Company is incorporated and renamed DebsCorporation with Soubhi Debs as its President & CEO. Themission was to upgrade and grow itsconverting business.

2008 – The company presents its collections at the esteemedPremiere Vision show in Paris, strengthening its presence asa producer of quality fabrics.

2013 – Debs Corporation launches their AirDye technology, alow-cost waterless textile coloration system that offersspeed, accurate color matching, and automation from designthrough bulk production.

2015 – Debs Corporation is renamed Debs TextileCorporation, with an aim to expand its global convertingbusiness while integrating new technologies.

We make sure that our fabric developments are createdwith passion and our aspirations are communicated withevery player involved - textile designers, fiber makers,weavers, dyers and finishers, technology providers, andeven chemical companies.

Made With JapanIn a globalized environment, no single country is a producerin its totality. At Debs, we have set up a production systemwhich enables us to bring together the best of two worlds –the quality, technology, and innovation of Japan and thetextile production infrastructures in Asia. We strive tobridge the cultural differences between everyone involvedand develop mutually beneficial business partnershipsthrough product development and innovation.

We have coined the term Made with Japan to summarizethis cowllaborative and flexible approach to productdevelopment and production within the Asian region .

We design our fabrics in Japan together with fashiondesigners, selecting and developing yarns that match ourdirection. We create the fabric constructions incollaboration with weavers and other partners in theindustry and set the path for overseas converting.

When we feel a fabric should be produced outside Japan, thetechnology is then transferred to our overseas partner millswhich are selected on specific criteria to develop thatparticular product. Technicians are sent to train andcommunicate the know-how related to finishing of thespecific yarns and weaves.

And when we feel the opportunity to create special finishesusing our state-of-the-art factories in Japan, we import theraw material – yarn and greige – and develop the products inour factories.

Whatever we do, we make sure to add the Japanese touchto all our fabrics!

Innovation

D-LAB is our center of innovation.

Japan is home to the world's largest number of registeredpatents and has astounding innovation across manyindustries, many of which are applicable to the textile field.

Unfortunately there is little access to these technologiesand when accessed, it takes time to commercialize thetechnologies due to communication and cultural barriers.

D-LAB was founded on these premises and allowscustomers to easily access and commercialize thesetechnologies. We have a team ready to help customizeinnovation with full confidentiality so that the projects areprotected, controlled and executed in a speedy manner.

We constantly launch technological innovations andbrainstorm these ideas with our customers. We makegreat effort to commercialize the product using ourflexible global converting system.

D-LAB is on the constant lookout for what's new and wewelcome any research and development projects from ourcustomers.

Each fabric in the collection is an original, proudlydeveloped and produced using our in-house design andproduction resources. Each season, up to 60 newfabrics are developed and represent the newest ofyarns and finishes, many that are proprietary to Debs.

Our Collections

AirDye is a revolutionary, cost-efficient sustainabletechnology that enables water-free dyeing and printing ontextiles. It is made up of various proprietary technologiesthat make custom coloration and printing easy andeffective. It solves the modern day problems of excessivewater pollution and clean water scarcity, and providescustomers with a sustainable and responsible method tocolor and print fabrics.

Accurate Color.Through proprietary software, AirDye enables coloraccuracy from color development, to sampling, to bulkproduction across various basecloths and lightsources.

Fast.AirDye colors and prints can be developed within days andsampling can be dyed or printed with full color accuracyquickly and efficiently. Back and forth color approvals thatcreate delays in production can be avoided, thusstreamlining the entiredevelopment-to-bulk leadtime.

Brilliant Colors.AirDye is so advanced that it not only colors the yarn, butalso thousands of filaments in each yarn, yielding rich andbrilliant colors. Penetration is complete.

Environmentally Efficient.Using AirDye can save up to 95% of the water, 86% of theenergy, and 84% of the greenhouse gases as comparedto conventional print and dye methods. On a singlegarment, the water savings alone can be as much as 170liters. And with no large production minimums and accuratecolor matching, the speed and material efficiency of AirDyeeliminates significant waste in the lifecycle of garmentproduction.
