Dear Fellow Producers:

We hope this finds you enjoying an easier winter than last year! We were cal-

culating the difference in our low temperature in December of 2013 versus

our day time high in early December 2014 and calculated an 80 degree differ-

ence! That difference has definitely meant less stress on the cattle and on us.

The cow herd was able to re-bound from the extremes of last winter on good

grass and the bulls are coming along very well. We are pleased to offer the

first sons of two bulls that were featured in our sale in 2013. The sons and

daughters of Snowshoe 31U Tuff 31S 42Z have been very impressive. His sons

are stout, well-muscled, strong topped and ample boned. Tuff himself has

proven that he is up to the demands of Montana’s rugged terrain and re-

mained strong footed and in good condition. We AI’d our heifers to Snow-

shoe R117 Ribeye T41 6Z and have been very happy with the calving ease and

performance he offered. His calves are very shapey and correct. With the ma-

ternal package offered by his dam, his daughters will be herd builders. We

added a new AI Sire to our program this year: THR Thor 4029. We had the

good fortune to see some of his daughters in production and were impressed

by the maternal quality possessed in such a high performance, high carcass

sire. His sons reflect that performance and have pushed the scales down.

We invite you to join us for our Bull Selection Day at Miles City Livestock Com-

mission. We will again be bringing the bulls to town for the Cowtown Beef

Breeders Show on Friday on Main Street. We will have our entire offering at

MCLC, with a few of them on display down town. Our Bull Selection Day will

follow on Saturday, February 7th. We hope that you will be able to join us.

Terms & Conditions: Terms of sale are cash. Announced

changes in catalog information sale day take precedence

over printed materials. All cattle are the buyer’s property as

soon as sold and will be cared for at the ranch of the seller

for a reasonable length of time (see Winter Feeding). Insur-

ance on your purchase is recommended. Any person at-

tending the sale does so at their own risk. Neither the own-

ers, Miles City Livestock Commission, nor any person con-

nected with the sale, assumes any liability, legal or other-

wise. Registration papers will be transferred upon request.

Winter Feeding: All bulls will return to the seller’s ranch

for winter feeding. Bulls will be cared for in a reasonable

manor and will be semen tested. Bulls will be ready for pick

up or delivery approximately April 1st, 2015.

Guarantee: Every animal in this sale is to the best of our

knowledge, free from disease or defect. Any known defects

will be announced or published prior to purchase. All ani-

mals are guaranteed breeders. If any animal fails to breed

after the first breeding season, it may be returned to the

seller, at the buyer’s expense, if in good condition and in

compliance with Montana health regulations. If the animal

proves to be a non-breeder, either an animal of comparable

rank will be substituted if available or credit will be given in

the following year’s sale less salvage value of the original

purchase.

Health: Health of this herd is excellent. All bulls selling will

pass a breeding soundness exam prior to pick up/delivery.

All bulls have been vaccinated with BoviShield Gold 5 and 7

way. All bulls have been de-wormed. Individual health pa-

pers will be furnished for out of state shipment.

Feeding Program: The bulls have been on a CHS formulat-

ed high roughage pellet, corn and free choice hay. They

were started on feed at weaning in October and received no

creep feed prior to weaning. The bulls have been kept in a

small pasture where they have ample space for health and

for good feet and legs. With this program we have been

able to grow the bulls in good shape without excess fat, and

deliver them to our customers ready for breeding.

Hereford Influence Feeder Calf Sale

It’s been an incredible and exciting year in the cattle business

and this year’s Hereford Influence Sale in Miles City was a per-

fect example. With Hereford sired calves selling for more than

$400/cwt, it’s apparent that major packers like Greater Omaha

and National Beef are demanding these cattle. Cattle feeders

are recognizing the quality of our Northern cattle and are ac-

tively sourcing them here. We are glad be a part of soliciting

the demand for Hereford Influenced cattle in our region. We

will continue to contact feedlots and prospective buyers want-

ing Hereford based calves with the intent of adding value to

our customers’ cattle. The 2014 Hereford Influence Sale at

Miles City Livestock Commission was the largest yet with ap-

proximately 800 head of quality Hereford influenced calves.
