Back Pack First Fruits offering - September 3rd
The youth will be at the door on the first Sunday of the month to accept your generous donations.
First Backpack delivery for this new school year was on
Thursday, August 31st. First Baptist would like to thank Judy Stoyle for her loyal
dedication and service to the Backpack ministry for many years. We would also like to thank June
Noriega for volunteering to head up the Backpack Ministry.
We will continue the Whole Heart Building Fund to pay for future repairs of the church.

The WMU will be having a Hobo Dinner to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. It will be held on Sunday, September 17th immediately following the
morning service. The menu will be Pinto beans, Cole slaw, Cornbread and Tea. There will be no charge but all
donations will be appreciated.
Youth Band Parent/Student Meeting
On Sunday, Sept 10th at 5:00 pm, we will have a Youth band informational meeting in the Youth House. This meeting is open to all who would like to play, sing, or
participate in our !Body Youth Band. We will hear plans for the upcoming year such as practices, playing events, quarterly mission trips and summer mission trips. This meeting is a MUST for students and parents who would
like to participate in the band this year. *********************************************************

the church’s website for you to give your donations to the church. As of this time, we
can only accept debit or credit card payments. We are excited about this and will be trying it for the next
three months.

We are kicking off a new choir for Preschoolers this Wednesday night. Preschoolers will meet in the Nursery
with Michaela Odom and Laura Nesbitt, beginning at 5:30 pm.

Sunday School for Preschoolers, Children, Youth and College & Career will kick off their new year with new
leaders and locations on Sunday, September 10th!!!
This is an exciting time in the life of our church and signs of growth we are experiencing here at FBC. Come that day and
meet your new leaders, see where your class will meet and have some great breakfast items.
-Our Preschoolers will meet in the classroom in the nursery.
-Children in 5K-2nd grade will meet upstairs in the first room with Mrs. Beth Lester.
-Elementary 2 will meet in the second room upstairs with Mrs. Jolie Brown
(This room will open up for our kids to come together and sing before Sunday School even begins)
-In the third room upstairs, our brand new Middle School program for students 6-8 grades.
-In the next room will be our Sr High Dept. for students in grades 9-12.
-Across the hall will be our New College & Career Department. This will be for College students and young adult who have gone straight into the working world. We will have a table set-up in
the hallway with food and drinks.
Come be a part of all the new and exciting things here at FBC. Let’s start a new normal by leaving home at 9:30 am so we can
get the full experience of food, fellowship and great bible teaching each Sunday.
