Plastic Recycling
All plastics numbered 1-7 can be recycled. Lids are OK when left on bottles.
Plastic bags cannot be recycled. They get caught in the conveyor belts at the recycling facility and can shut the system down. Ask for paper bags at the grocery store. Your local store should take your plastic bags and reuse them.

Tips for Recycling
• Please make sure all containers are empty.• We encourage you to rinse food cans and plastic
containers.• When recycling metal food cans, please place the lid
inside of the can. • No medical syringes. Please place these in a jug with the
lid on, and put them in the trash. • Do not place household items (such as toasters or other
appliances) in your recycling container. Take those to the Buy-Back center.
Why Recycle?
• Recycling saves natural resources
• Recycling saves energy
• Recycling saves landfill space
