CONCEPT INSPIRATIONThe inspiration for this concept originates from the idea of looking through binoculars. Design focus was aimed at creating a space where visitors can explore the landscape at specifically pre-determined perspectives. Like the inside of an oyster shell, the facade of the building has a gilded effect which shimmers under the sun or the moon light.

LET IT SHINEAs night falls, the entire building lights up and casts beautiful colors across the surface of the sea. The supporting pillars are covered in pressure sensitive LED’s that light up in places where the tide hits. The end result is an edifice that manages to interact with the natural landscape while maintaining a harmonious relationship with the local environment.

ENERGYThe central lake is to be the catalyst that promotes a higher sense of connectivity. Whether your a daily commuter, consumer or an on-site inhabitant you will no doubt find yourself being drawn to the spectacular happenings which are offered on and around the lake. A place of modernity with a strong grasp of it’s rich culture was the ultimate goal.

CONCEPT INSPIRATIONAn exercise in masterplanning, this site was to house an abundance of programs from retail to work to residential. The key to making this a successful project would be in the way these very different programs would come together as one. The solution presented itself in the form of a central lake. This lake would take on a dual role, that of a backbone connecting all users as well as a central park.

CONCEPT INSPIRATIONLas Vegas is world renowned for it’s one of a kind party atmosphere and lavish hotels. Whether you like to mingle in the ultra posh clubs or float aimlessly in it’s daytime pool parties, Vegas has you covered. This too was the aim for this hotel that was to be built in the UAE. Luxury, elegance and of course the occasional indulgences were to be found at this one of a kind destination.

SECOND TO NONEAlong with a tasteful color palette, rich fabrics and fine woods were chosen to welcome each and every traveler all the while intoxicating them with intricate patterns and exquisite design. In the end we were hoping that every user would leave knowing that to be treated like true royalty one would have to choose our accomodations time and time again.

01PERFORMING ARTS CENTER_ San Diego, CA_Scholastic Work

THE PROTAGONISTA place that entails great acts and extracts many emotions from each of it’s users must also play that role on the exterior. This building was to begin the “act” sort of speaking at the instant one set eyes on it’s facade. The playful undulations of it’s external skin combined with the vivid colors chosen were to stir up instant emotions in every individual that would no doubt leave a life-long impression.

CONCEPT INSPIRATIONA performance center often entertains various acts from concerts to plays, from rock to classical. This battle between one voice or the other was the driving inspiration behind the concept of this building. More times than not, contrasting voices tend to drown eachother out, rendering them useless. The design of this building would be used to educate that different voices should not compete but work harmoniously to create a greater whole.
