GRACE AT WORSHIP WORDS FROM OUR PASTOR
RIGHT HAND OF FELLOWSHIP
COMING UP AT GRACE!Sunday, November 16, 2014
My Loved Ones,
Today, we celebrate the gift of leadership as we acknowledge the commitment and service of our beloved Deacons and Trustees. They have been an invaluable personal resource to me and a blessing to the congregation. We honor our Deacons and Trustees as those who work diligently to support the ministry of our church. These servant leaders provide assistance to the pastor and nurturing the congrega-tion. The lay ministries of Deacons and Trustees have been essential to our growth and our capacity to serve our members and community. We acknowledge these dedicated officers who serve the Lord daily, as we bless God for anointing them with the insight and boldness to serve. We thank God for their service and we offer tribute to these servant leaders.
Our worship today is punctuated by our solidarity and support of our brothers and sisters in West Africa devastated by the Ebola Epidemic. I am asking each of you to give a special offering for the Ebola victims, as we respond to the health crisis that has engulfed the lives of thousands in Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. We are called for times such as these to be a blessing to others in need.
We are in the last stages of our Countdown to Construction campaign. I am asking each of you to identify a friend or contact those whom you think will support our building project. We are approaching the final stages of this effort. Let us remain resolute in our commitment to the work God has called us to do.
Love,
Pastor
