Database a Teacher’s Tool

It’s meet the teacher night tonight. All those parents and tons are information to gather. I dread all those hours of putting all that information into the computer. There has to be an easier way

What would be a better way to gather a large amount of information more efficiently?A. Have forms for parents to fill out.B. Have parents email the information to you.C. Have parents enter the information into the computer for you.

This is a time consuming process and requires handling the same information more than once. Parents would have fill out the form and then the teacher would have to enter it into the computer.

This is not a good method because some parents may not send their email address, and it could be a slow process.

Parents entering their email on Meet the Teacher Night would collect more emails at one time, and the information can be ready to use immediately.

What is a Database?

A database is a system that is designed to organize, store, and retrieve large amounts of data easily. Think of it as an electronic file cabinet with vast amount s of information stored ready for retrieval.

To move all the fields to the selected fields area, what do you click on?

A. One > B. Two >>

To move the fields to the selected fields box, you would select the field you would like to move and then click on the single arrow. All fields may be moved by clicking on the Double arrows. For this database we will move all fields by clicking on the double arrows.

After selecting your style and layout, what is the next thing you do in the form wizard?

A. Insert a picture and close the form

B. Name your form and choose Finish to complete
