Dark Rockman.EXE is the counterpart of Rockman.EXE, in EXE series. He appears in game, anime, and manga. There are some differences on the process of the born between each section

- Anime perceptionFrom Anime, Dark Rockman.EXE was created from a part of data of Rockman.EXE. He made some appearance in Rockman.EXE Stream. He was created by Dr. Regal, the developer of Dark Chip Syndicate, Nebula. Dr. Regal took a part of Rockman.EXE’s data when Rockman want to return to the present world through the Past Tunnel, it was around episode 32, in Rockman.EXE Stream anime. Then, Dark Rockman.EXE was fully created in episode 36, as an independent Navi, and made some ruckus between Rockman, his friends, and with Netto. He hates Rockman, and he determined to take over the name “Rockman” in Cyber World by killing Rockman, so that the Cyber World doesn’t have 2 Rockmans. He has the ability to read Netto’s operation, and his mind is synchronized with Rockman. In that anime, he was a pawn of Dr. Regal and has the duty to collect Duo mark within 13 people, and then use them to awake Duo. His debut was continued until episode 49 of Rockman.EXE Stream. Unfortunately, he was slain by Slur.EXE, a Net-Navi from outer space who guard the Duo Seal. Actually, Dark Rockman was envied to the bonds that Netto and Rockman has.

- Game PerceptionThere are 2 perceptions of the born process of Dark Rockman in the game. First was in EXE 4, and the Second one is EXE 5

EXE 4Dark Rockman.EXE was created through Rockman.EXE’s own shadow and hatred, and pulled out by Laserman.EXE. You will fight him near the end, just before you fight the final boss, Duo. On that fight, he shares the same NCP, and HP, but he has no transformation. He can also launch program advances that you’ve set up in your folder, so be careful, I ever had the case that he beat me with a Giga Cannon 3 that I’ve prepared.

EXE 5Dark Rockman.EXE was created through Rockman.EXE itself, plus, a Dark Chip inserted. He starts make some appearance after Cloudman’s scenario, where Rockman.EXE was kidnapped. He is the boss of Nebula Army in Liberation Mission in Endo Area 2, and one of the Chaos Lord. In Endo Area 2, he has 800 HP, while in Chaos Lord Lair/Nebula Area 6, he has 2000 HP, to fight him as a Chaos Lord, you have to beat all the DS Navis in Nebula Area 6 in average under 25 seconds. He is quick, and also, as a DS Navi, has every chip based on your Library’s condition. He, of course, can launch Dark Chip attack, which is mainly Dark Sword, that can slain you by 400 HP and it’s area effect is the same as Program Advance Beta Sword.

- Manga PerceptionDark Rockman.EXE made appearance at the first time in Manga Volume 7, after the fight with Forte GS. He is a Navi from the Dark Space side of the Cyber World. He has Laserman as his comrade, and he bring Forte with him to the Dark Area, in order for him to take over Forte’s power to become his power and become an ultimate being. He needs Rockman’s power of hatred in order to establish a complete fusion with Forte’s power. In order to achieve that, Shademan.EXE hurt Netto while Rockman and Netto were able to got into the Dark Area. Rockman went mad, since his operator was wounded badly. Rockman punches and beats Dark Rockman as his anger reaches its peak. And, when a chance came, Laserman.EXE absorb Rockman’s hatred power, thus making Dark Rockman to go power-up. Dark Rockman managed to fuse and take over Forte, but his wicked plan was ruined as Forte didn’t desire to give his power to Dark Rockman. After a chaotic fight, Rockman killed him with a Giga Cannon attack.

How to have Dark Rockman.EXE as your Navi in game- In EXE 4

You can have Dark Rockman.EXE as your Navi too. Just use the 2 Dark Chips on Custom Window, when Rockman’s emotion is anxious. To make Rockman goes into anxious mode, just let him took multiple hits or so. Use them for several sequential battle, and Rockman will turned to Dark. You will always have 2 Dark Chips displayed every time you start Custom Window. But, in exchange, you won’t be able to do Soul Unison, and some Mega Class chips may not working. And, don’t forget to watch your Max HP, as your Max HP reduced by -1 every time you use Dark Chip in a battle.

- In EXE 5You can have your own Dark Rockman.EXE as well. The simplest way is, use Dark Invisible chip. This dark chip’s effect is letting Dark Rockman.EXE takes over Rockman, then go berserk, when you see Rockman starts to flashing white, send him some chips, or open your Custom Window, and prepare for chips. The another way, is increase your Karma Level. How? Simply by directly use Dark Chips that you’ve placed in your folder for several battles (around 5-6). Then, you have your Rockman, turned into a Dark version. In this condition, you can’t do any Soul Unison, and Navi chips, and some Mega Class chips don’t work too. But, in exchange, you can use the DS Navi chips, the higher your Karma Level, the higher it inflict damage, it can even deal greater damage than SP Navi chips. No real measurement of your Karma Level, the only measurer is the damage that the DS Navi chips inflict. Also, the other advantage is, when your HP reaches 0, Dark Rockman.EXE will go berserk for about 10 seconds, then flashing white, and will has some glitches such as movement teleportation, not working Buster, etc. Unfortunately, to maintain Dark Rockman as your Navi, you’ve to keep using Dark Chips in battle, as your Karma Level decreases when you don’t use a Dark Chip for several battle

Watch your HP too, since your Max HP is depleted permanently by -1 everytime you use a Dark Chip. But, since NCP could help you to increase your Max HP so you can rely on it.

The dangerous thing of summoning Dark Rockman.EXEThe most dangerous part of Dark Rockman.EXE for the players in EXE 5, is the side effect of Chaos Unison. After you beat Dark Rockman in Liberation Mission in Endo Area 2, you’ll have your Rockman back with a new ability called Chaos Unison. This ability lets you do Soul Unison by using Dark Chips. By charging your Buster, it’ll turned out flashing, sometimes purple, sometimes green. When you release your charge right at when the purple glows, you’ll launch your Dark Chip without having a risk of Max HP depletion. But, if you launch your charge when it’s green or low Dark Power, Rockman will flash for a short time, then Dark Rockman will appear in your enemy’s panels, then attack you brutally. In this condition, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to delete him, you can only for wait around 30 seconds till he disappear from enemy panels.

Well, Dark Rockman.EXE was purposed for a player who loves to play with Dark Power which is actually quite strong, but has some risk to make it into your control.
