How to Apply
Please Note –
You need to form a collaborative team, with a mix of team members from Southern and Northern Ireland, with at least 1 from either region.
Team DynamicsWhat is a balanced team?
Team of 5 students – Good mix of programmers, artists and other disciplines as required
For example- Programmers working use of C++ / C# / Java
etc- Artists Animators, Technical Artists, Concept
Artists, Character Artists, Environment Artist - Audio
- Game Designers
Team Leader* - 3 programmes, 2 artists Team Leader – 2 programmers, 2 artists, 1 Audio
*Team Leaders can come from any discipline

Written application plus additional Video upload
Clear description of your game
- Platform- Target Audience
Explain how you will adapt this idea into a game
Explain how the game fits with the Dare criteria:
- Market Potential- Innovation and Creativity- Use of Technology
Detail well thought out deliverables and key milestones
Team’s skills and experience
What Happens Next?
Applications screened by industry panel Highest scoring teams are invited to Selection Day Interviews
Selection Day - Dublin Teams present to an Industry Panel of judges - opportunity to sell your game
15 mins to pitch your game idea
10 mins for Q & A
All teams will receive feedback from Judges
Hardware: All development PCs and Macs will be provided. Other hardware such as controllers etc. depend on sponsorship. Software: Basic software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Autodesk Software Suite will be provided
Technical Form to be filled out by each selected team Have clear idea what you require from application You can use any engine or software you want Consider costs – open source software preferable Sponsorship can be sought on paid licenses, but no guarantee
