The Vocational Advisory Council held it’s
fall meeting at DHS. Mrs. Lawrence ex-
plained how several faculty members of
DHS were using portable buildings. Facul-
ty that would gain permanent classrooms
briefed the committee on the impact that
the Dream Act would have four our His-
panic Students. They explained the cost
process and benefit for the student body
are ROTC, EAST, and Digital Communi-
cations III and IV. Several core and special
ed. Instructors would gain permanent classrooms as well. Mariana Collins-Romero and Ingrid Hernandez
briefed the committee on the impact that the Dream Act would have for our Hispanic students. They ex-
plained the cost, process, and benefit for the student body.

Greg
McCubbin
is involved
in anime
club and is
part of the
Suessical
crew. In his
spare time he likes to listen to music, help his
friends, and play video games. Greg would like
to advise the students of DHS to: “Don’t do
drugs, stay high on life.”

DHS Scarlet Regiment The Scarlet Regiment recently attended two contests. At the Dale Bumpers
marching invitational, the band received all First Divisional Superior Ratings.
They also won Outstanding Drum line, Flag line, Rifle line, majorette and Alex
Meimerstorf also received outstanding soloist. The crowd gave us a standing
ovation. At the Regional Marching Assessment thy received a Superior Rating
from all 3 judges. This has been a perfect marching season. Well done!
Football!!! The Dardanelle High Sand Lizards came home last Friday with a win against the Maumelle. This week
the Sand Lizards play the Mena Bearcats for a chance to host a home play off game.
