In a hard-hitting speech,Rahul Gandhi today dared PrimeMinister Narendra Modi to jailhim, accusing him of using"cronies" to "throw mud" at himlike the RSS and BJP had doneagainst his parents and grandmother Indira Gandhi in the past.
"You talk of a 56-inch chest.Probe me, then put me behindbars. I want to tell Modi ji andthe RSS that I do not have theslightest of fear," a combative

Addressing a NationalConvention of the YouthCongress on the occasion of98th birth anniversary of IndiraGandhi, he said amidst cheersfrom the gathering that "there isnot an iota of truth," in an appar-ent reference to the allegationslevelled by BJP leaderSubramanian Swamy.

5 bovine smugglers held with 23 cattle Excelsior Correspondent
RAJOURI, Nov 19: Thepolice seized 23 bovine animalsalong with four vehicles andarrested five alleged smugglers inthis connection in district Rajourilast night.
Official sources said that apolice party from Thannamandiunder the supervision of SSPRajouri Rajeshwar Singh duringnaka at Chhrung bridge nearThannamandi seized four vehi-
cles loaded with 15 bovine ani-mals and arrested four persons inthis connection last night. TataMobile vehicles seized are- JK-11/ 6983, JK02BD/3503, JK-11/0488 and JK02B/2533. Theywere on way to Srinagar viaMughal Road. The police seizedvehicles and rescued 15 cattle. Acase was registered in this con-nection.
The arrested persons are iden-tified as, Iftkhar Hussain, MohdKhaleel from Darhal; Shehzad
Ahmed, son of Mohd Sharief,resident of Darhal; SajjadAhmed, son of Mohd Rashid, res-ident of Saidpora Shopian andAltaf Hussain, son of MohdHussain, resident of Darhal.
Meanwhile, Budhal Policeled by Insp Kuldeep Raj duringnaka at Naga Thub seized eightbovine animals and arrested oneperson in this connection. He hasbeen identified as Abdul Majid,son of Mohd Hussain, resident ofSangri in Reasi.

MENDHAR, Nov 19: Thepolice arrested a thief hailingfrom Gohlad area of Mendharand solved three thefts exe-cuted by him recently.
A police spokesman saidthat police party led by SHOMendhar Anzir Mir acting onspecific information rushed tothe site and nabbed thealleged thief when he wasselling stolen two goats. Hehas been identified as ParvezAhmed, son of ManzoorHussain, resident of Gohlad.He had stolen two goats ofIftikhar, one goat of Ramzanand Rs 10,000 cash fromAkhtar Rasool few days back.The police was looking forhim and he was nabbed todayfrom Mendhar market.

POONCH, Nov 19:Thousands of people fromPoonch and adjoining areastoday paid floral tributes to themortal remains of Mahant(Kharha Baba) of the historicKhakha Naban Mandir heretoday.
This Baba who always usedto `stand' and never sat in last 20years was most respected by thepeople of the area from all thecommunities. He had gone toChar Dham Yatra in a bus andpassed away at Meerut yesterday.His body was brought here thismorning by the ManagementCommittee members of theTemple. A grand funeral proces-sion was taken out in the Poonchtown today by the devotees andpeople from all the communities.Later, a ‘Samadhi' was raised inthe temple complex and the mor-tal remains of the popularlyknown as ̀ Kharha Baba' was laidto rest this afternoon. More thanfive thousand people attended hislast rites.

SAMBA, Nov 19: Thethieves decamped with goldenornaments and cash from SitaRam temple opposite 17 MilesHotel Thandi Khui, Vijaypurlate last night.
According to residents ofthe area earlier also an attemptof theft was made in the templebut this time the thieves suc-ceeded in decamping with gold-en ornaments and cash lying inthe temple.
The Vijaypur Police has reg-istered a case and started inves-tigation. But no arrest has beenmade in this regard so far.

SAMBA, Nov 19: A middleaged person was killed after hecame under a train at RailwayCrossing near Vijaypur today.
He has been identified asDevi Dass, 50, son of ThoruRam of Vijaypur, police said.Dass was crossing the railwaytrack at Railway Crossing afterthe Kota Express which was onway from Jammu to Kota hithim.
The Railway Police has reg-istered a case in this regard.
