Overview of 23-5 RouteSafety Brief at 0730. SP at 0745. We will ride from Mickey’s in Cove on US 190 out to Kempner. We will turn right onto FM2313 towards US 281. We will turn right (North) onto US 281 and go north to Hico, TX, where we will stop at the Valero where 281 meets TX HWY 6. From there we will travel all the way to the Valero Gas Station near our destination before heading to Gas Monkey Bar and Grill. After lunch at GMBG, we will travel to the Gas Monkey Garage for a look around and an opportunity to buy merchandise. There will be a safety brief at 1500 for 23-5 for the ride back and we will SP at 1515. We will have a gas stop in Meridian on the way back, and should arrive in Harker Heights at 1930.

Phase 1 of Route:Cove to Hico

Total of approx 88 miles to stop. Approx. 1 hr 30 min of travel time.

Arrive at Valero in Hico at approx 0915. 15 min for refuel and bathroom. Depart at 0930 hrs.

Safety Brief at Mickey’s in Cove on 190 at 0730.Depart at 0745.

Phase 2 of Route:Hico to Dallas

Total of approx 110 miles to stop. Approx. 2 hrs of travel time.

Arrive at Dallas Valero approx 1130 hrs. (See next slide for drill down view)

Depart Hico Valero at 0930.

Phase 3 of Route:Gas to Bar and Grill to Garage

Arrive at Dallas Valero (C) at 1130.KSU to GMBG 1140. Arrive at GMBG (D) 1145. Lunch until 1330. Formal Ride Route Brief to all Chapters at 1340. 1350 KSU to GMG (E). Arrive GMG at 1410.

Valero Dallas to GMBG is a less than 5 min ride.Approx .5 miles of travel

GMBG to GMG is 2.6 miles apart. Could take up to 20 min for all CHPs to arrive: traffic dependent.

Phase 4 of Route:Gas Monkey Garage to Meridian

Total of approx 98 miles to stop. Approx. 2 hrs of travel time.

Arrive at Meridian Exxon approx 1715.

Safety Brief at 1500.Depart GMG at 1515.

Phase 5 of Route:Meridian to Harker Heights

Total of approx 78 miles to release. Approx. 1 hr 30 min of travel time.

Depart Meridian Exxon 1730 after a 15 min break for refuel and bathroom.

Arrive in Heights on 190 at 1900.Release as you hit your exits en route.
