MISSION MEMORIAL DAYFour veterans carrying the names of the fallen to the top of the tallest peak in North America

I get immense satisfaction out of taking the names of my brothers and sisterswith me to these places, through sweat and putting one foot in front of the other when it’s incredibly challenging. That feeling is worth sharing with anyone who will join me in spirit by allowing me to take the names of theirloved ones with us to Denali

Josh Jespersen, Navy SEAL, Expedition Leader

INTRODUCTIONOn Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, four disabled veterans of the wars in Iraq and

Afghanistan will stand on top of North America at 20,322 ft., carrying ags with the names of those lost in service to this nation. Those names represent the loved

ones we have lost, and the memory of those we loved.

THE ISSUEOver the years, a divide has grown in America between those that have served,

and those that have not, and with the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ending, awareness is at an all time low on the sacrices made overseas.

THE MISSION Utilize Memorial Day by honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrice, serving

those who wish to remember those they lost, and helping America remember, while we bridge the military, civilian divide through awareness and engagenment

so our battle buddies are not forgotten.

THE SOLUTIONThis Memorial Day, we will transition America towards remembrance by honoring

those lost in service to this nation. This will be done by ying the names of those lost on top of North America and in communities across the nation, by

both veterans and civilians. Together we will take back Memorial Day, but most importantly we will raise awareness and ensure America never forgets.
