ShowMe• Easy to use and learn• Did not like that I could not

use text• Difficult to write letters with

typical soft-point stylus• I do like that I can download

and save on my hard drive

Educreations• Easy to use and manipulate• I like the text and color options• A little difficult to manipulate

image but more practice will take care of that

• Unable to download or export lessons, although embed tool and links offset this

• On the next slide you will see the difference between ShowMe and Educreations as I used each to describe the same gas law tutorial

Recommendation

• I believe for the demographic I aim to serve (adult military learners) that Educreations edges out ShowMe for tutorial creation/viewing

• This is based primarily on the use of text as opposed to writing words with a stylus

Recommendation

• I also prefer the fact that Educreations can be made/used on platforms other than iPad (PC/Mac with Flash)

• Lastly, I prefer that with Educreations teachers can create courses for their students to sign up for and view (based on roster function)
