Plat No. 2 contains 41 lots and extends south from No. 1.

The plat maps ind accompanying documents were hJrned over to the city attorney for checking and Teel was asked to post a $50,000 per· formance bond covering estimated cost of roads and utilities to be installed In the development at bis expense.

When these steps are completed, the City will send the suhdivislon plats to the county

clerk for county approval, and then to Lansing for state approval.

Current subdivision regulations require the developer to pay the entire cost of constructing and bard-surfacing streets and Installing all sewers.

The proposed new subdivision ordinance, which is much more restrictive, was given second reading by the Council Monday night, then turned over to the city attorney for retyping with minor changes made by the Council before It comes back later for adoption.

The new code specifies lot slzes and requires the developer to provide paved streets, curb and gutters, sidewalks, water and sewer lines, trees and street signs.

The $33, 000 Teel Drain, which will carry err surface water from the new subdlvlslon, was nearing completion this week.
