PRINCIPAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST: I have earned almost $28 million in continuous federal, national foundation and other external support of my research in pediatric psychology and health care delivery science since 1991. Recent and current projects include testing a behavioral intervention to enhance benefit from continuous glucose monitoring in adolescents with type 1 diabetes (NIH/NIDDK); stakeholder-guided design, development and evaluation of a social media portal for parents of children with type 1 diabetes under the age of 6 years (NIH/NIDDK), a randomized trial of shared medical decision making in pediatric diabetes (PCORI), a trial of a novel transdicisplinary care model for adolescents with type 1 diabetes (NIH/NIDDK) a study evaluating frequency of exposure to targeted clinical problems as a predictor of health care quality (Department of Defense) and I serve as Nemours Co-PI with Dr. Tim Bunnell on the PEDSnet clinical data research network (PCORI).
