BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES:

Research and extension on the integrated management of pests affecting the major crops grown

in southwest Florida with emphasis on citrus. Develop and test integrated systems of economic

and sustainable pest management and their component tactics. Consult with members of the

agricultural community, and provide information, training and diagnostic services in

collaboration with county and multi-county agents. Contribute through sustainable pest

management promoting a favorable image of agricultural activities and products to the public at

large.
