College Bound: How the University of Southern California is Preparing Neighborhood

Children for College Success. I supervise the Academy of Finance program at USC

(described below). In 2008, the Program was chosen to be in the College Bound

book, which describes USC’s community outreach programs that are successful

in helping disadvantaged youth prepare for college, get admitted, and have

successful college careers. The book was prepared by USC’s Civic and

Community Relations, and was released in 2010 concurrent with President Sample’s

retirement.
