and IT-business. On these pages I show a wide selection of postcards from that journey – a journey which by no means is over yet...During most of the years I have worked for companies, I have either co-founded or managed. In advertising, communications, graphic production and electronic media there is not a lot left I haven’t tried in some way:

I have used all major Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, Flex, Flash Builder eg.) in all versions since 1991.

Until Indesign was launched I used QuarkXPress for DTP. Before Adobe took over Macrome-dia I also used Macromedia products (mostly Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Director).

I began using Flash just before Macromedia acquired it in 1996 – then it was called Future-Splash. And since then I have used all versions and variations of Adobe and Macromedia’s Flash-related tools.

I have used both Mac and Windows through all the years.

I have switched between everything from eg. DTP, web-design, web-development (both front- and back-end as well as database work), interactive design (Flash/Flex) to video editing (Premiere) and 3D-design (3DSMAX).

I design and maintain websites either directly in code (HTML/CSS/jQuery etc.) or via a CMS like Joomla – usually working from handdrawn sketches.

Facebook? Of course - although the jobs I have for HP and others unfortunately aren’t available online anymore.

Social media? Sure - from Twitter to Kickstarter. In today’s media landscape their importance is hard to overestimate.

I have developed UX and (G)UI designs for mobile apps for all common platforms (from Nokia Series 30 feature phones to iOS6 and Android) over a 7-year period.

I have produced e-books/brochures. Mainly as PDF files, but I have also done a few titles for iOS/Android (epub/mobi).

My focus has always been design – both graphic, UI, and UX. But in many cases I have produced, programmed and planned jobs and campaigns – across platforms and suppliers.

As an Art Director and Creative Director I have managed both employees, suppliers, and production. Neither briefing a photographer, directing a photoshoot nor finding stock photos and illustrations online are foreign to me.

Over the years I have also worked for a long list of clients, for whom a very important part of the job was to be responsible for adherence to established design guidelines.

I have used both MS Visual Studio (TFS) and online tools like Assembla.com for project management and planning.

MS Office, browsers etc. are natural and indispensable tools that are used daily.

I am also experienced in the art of maintaining, installing and troubleshooting PCs, software, fonts etc.

I view IT as such as a tool – and nothing else. On principle, I have no interest what tool is chosen to do a job. HTML5 may be the answer one day – and Flash the next. Word is great for some things and Google Docs for others. Sometimes my notebook is better than Visio – and sometimes the opposite applies. One of the greatest benefits of experience is the ability to choose the right tool more often and more quickly.

Personal QualificationsI really hate to describe my personal qualifications. It quickly begins to sound false and hollow when someone has to praise themselves. Instead, I choose to refer to these recommendations on LinkedIn, where a few colleagues of mine have written about me.

HobbiesFamily, movies, music, computer games, travel, and scuba diving are among my favorite things to do in my spare time. And I have always worked because I loved my job – not because I needed to work – which is why I also choose to name my work as a favorite hobby.
