    VYRO 2020

This fest is one of a kind as it has technical as well as non-technical events. Around 30

different events from Computer, I.T, Civil, Electronics and Telecommunication department

are a part of this fest. Students get exposure of the technical field and get a chance to

enhance their knowledge. Students from various colleges across Mumbai, Thane and

Palghar district are invited to participate.

It is rightly said that each one of us learns through errors. Keeping this in mind, the

college gives a free hand to students to host this event and commit mistakes and

learn from the same. Our aim is that the students learn the lessons of leadership,

team work, team building, and working in challenging and stressful circumstances,

hospitality and endless is the list of learning.

February 5 is celebrated as Safer Internet Day.

The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre the celebration sees hundreds of organizations get involved to help promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people. The UK Safer Internet Centre is a partnership of three leading charities – Childnet International, Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the South West Grid for Learning (SWGfL) - with a shared mission to make the internet a better place for children and young people. Globally, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe. This year in the UK, Safer Internet Day will focus on how consent works in an online context and will ask young people to explore how they ask, give, and receive consent online. This could be in their friendships or relationships, how they take and share images and videos or how they manage their privacy and data. The campaign encourages young people to explore how the internet works, who owns the information that is shared on it, and how they can actively take ownership of digital spaces. We want Safer Internet Day 2019 to empower young people to take control of their online lives and to feel that they can harness and use the positive power of the internet for good. Safer Internet Day is a worldwide event that raises awareness about online safety and encourages everyone to help create a better internet. Celebrated in 150 countries, Safer Internet Day is coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission. In Australia, the eSafety Commissioner is responsible for managing and promoting Safer Internet Day.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2020: THIS DAY IS CELEBRATED EVERY YEAR ON FEBRUARY 28 IN THE COUNTRY TO

CELEBRATE THE DISCOVERY OF THE ‘RAMAN EFFECT’. INDIA’S GREAT SCIENTIST CV RAMAN INVENTED THE

‘RAMAN EFFECT’ ON THIS DAY AND WON NOBEL PRIZE FOR THE SAME.

    Why on February 28?

Dr. CV Raman officially declared on February 28, 1928, that he has invented the ‘Raman

Effect.’ He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for this important discovery. The

National Council for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC) proposed the central

government that National Science Day should be celebrated on February 28 every year to

mark this discovery. After that, the Government of India accepted that proposal and the first

National Science Day was celebrated on February 28, 1987

Theme of National Science Day 2020 This year, the theme for National Science Day 2020 is "Women in Science", which aims to appreciate the contribution of women in the field of science. National Science Day will be celebrated on February 28 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind will give prizes to women scientists who have made unprecedented contributions in the field of science on this day

2020 WILL BE A CRITICAL YEAR FOR THE LARGE-SCALE IMPLEMENTATION OF AI CHIPS

INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION WILL ACCELERATE ITS IMPLEMENTATION IN

VARIOUS SCENES SUCH AS PARKS AND CITIES.

In recent years, AI chips have gradually reached a usable state, and 2020 will be a critical year for the large-scale

implementation of AI chips. AI chips on the edge will be more low-cost, specialized, and seamlessly integrated into

downstream solutions. At the same time, the neural processing unit (NPU) will become the basic module of the next-generation edge-based general-purpose CPU chips. In the future, more and

more device-based CPU chips will integrate deep learning framework as the core to their designs. In addition to chips, AI

will redefine the computer architecture and support AI training and inference as a new idea of heterogeneous design

    architecture.

The development of autonomous vehicles is becoming more rational, and the market will be more confident in the

development of intelligent driving in the next few years. In 2020, more autonomous vehicles will be applied to different

scenarios such as logistics, public transport, geofenced areas, and so on. At the same time, V2X (vehicle to everything)

technology is ready for large-scale deployment and application, which makes vehicles and roads form a wide

range of connections, further promoting the realization of Intelligent Vehicle Infrastructure Cooperative Systems (IVICS),

and accelerating the implementation of intelligent transportation in parks, cities, expressways and other

    scenarios.

Quantum computing will usher in a new round of explosive growth,

injecting new vitality into AI and cloud computing.

Blockchain technology will be integrated into more scenarios in a

    more pragmatic manner.

The Internet of Things (IoT) will breakthrough in three directions:

    boundary, dimension, and scenario.

Natural language processing technology will be deeply integrated

with knowledge, and computing platforms for general natural

language understanding will be widely used

Multimodal deep semantic understanding will become more mature and

    widely used.

AutoML, automatic machine learning, will greatly lower the threshold

    of machine learning

Deep learning technology will penetrate the industry and be applied

    on a large scale
