• Connection between Geonodo and Geoportal of Chile is realized by means of the URL of the WMS appearing in the metadata record of map services (ISO 19119).

• Geonodo administrator must have a user account in the Geoportal of Chile for uploading the XML of metadata records generated by Geonodo.

As we have focused on a citizen approach, many good things had happened:

1. Our authorities understand *better* our work2. We have boosted up the interoperability of

Geoportal 3. We have had press appearences, a little step

towards having a spatial enabled society.

Next steps

Geospatial World Forum 2013 – Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Understand the needs from municipalities so to help the build useful geoportals - geonodos.

Work on parcel or cadaster information.

Attend new needs through geoportal: for instance, implement basic geoprocess.

Launch the national geoportal.

The new SDI law will change the scenario.
