The Curtis-Sharif S.T.E.M. Academy (CSSA) founders and leaders have over 25 years of experience turning the lives of underserved and underrepresented students away from low academic achievement and poor social performance to living purpose-driven lives; prepar-ing them for success in higher education.

Engaging students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in innovative, integrated science, mathematics and cultur-al arts after-school, weekend and summer enrichment programs and activities that expand their capacity to perform well on higher order thinking skills, problem solving, applied mathematics, sci-ence, technology, and engineering assignments.

We provide a holistic, whole child educational environment for African American and Latino inner city students. We serve families headed by single mothers, grandparents raising grandchil-dren, children in foster care, blue collar workers, and immigrants (some undocumented) as well as two-parent, college educated house-holds with equal success. The educational, social, college prepara-tory and career awareness resources provided prepare students to be successful in college, especially first time college students. The curriculum, academic programs and social services are tailored to meet the needs of both students and their parents at each level of the academic pipeline. Students gain admission to college, com-plete their degree programs and emerge as leaders in their homes and communities.
