How do my courses transfer?

Courses you successfully complete will show on your CSM transcript, as well as the grade you earned.

Whether you choose to continue at the College of Southern Maryland for your Associate degree or attend a four-year institution, those credits will remain on your transcript and can be used towards your degree.

You will need to check with your future school.

These credits will put you 3 credits closer to graduation!

Here are some key points: More detailed information will become available as the Maryland Higher Education Commission develops the regulations.• This is a program to help eligible students afford community college.• This is not “free college” as there are eligibility requirements applicants

must meet. • This “last dollar” scholarship will cover tuition and mandatory fees after

other financial aid is calculated.• Applicants must have an annual income of not more than: $100,000, if

applicant is single or resides in a single-parent household; $150,000, if applicant is married or resides in a two-parent household.

• Applicants must submit a FAFSA by visiting FAFSA.GOV. • Applicants must enroll within 2 years of high school or GED completion,

have an overall minimum 2.3 high school GPA, and maintain a 2.5 GPA at CSM.

• Recipients must be full-time and must agree to complete a service obligation in Maryland for each year they receive the scholarship. Scholarships convert to loans if the recipient fails to fulfill the service obligation.
