Binghamton Farm Share Around the Corner
• Goal: to support, encourage and grow synergistic connections between the region’s CSA farms and Binghamton food desert residents
• Method: use existing community gathering places, staffed by VINES (Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments) staff, to distribute farm shares within the food desert
• Consumer Outcome: healthy, affordable food access, leading to healthier lifestyles
• Producer Outcome: expanded farm markets, leading to more robust agricultural economy
