introductionThe use of compound semiconductor devices contin-ues to grow in applications in several different markets. Obviously, 5G communications and new energy vehicles will continue to be an area with high growth prospects. Mini-LED and Micro-LED display applications are also another market with very good development opportunities. In addition to these mature applications, the use of compound semicon-ductor devices is also developing in several new markets, including rail transit, power transmission and distribution systems, and unmanned driving technolo-gy, among others.

expected to reach a new high in 2021. The global semiconductor materials market is expected to have grown steadily and slightly in 2020 and will reach $55 billion in 2021. As the world's second largest semicon-ductor material market in 2020, China will maintain this market position in 2021.
