Class Theme Leaders Project Adopt-‐A-‐Family Laurie Halligan With the help of a San Mateo Social Worker we will focus on the following:
Target 10 families – will rollout with five and get a pulse on the enthusiasm Goal:
• Each family to receive a cumulative amount of $100 for each of the following cards: Target, Safeway and Gas Card. In addition, additional gift cards for family member based on specific family member requests.
Plan: • Early November -‐ Link on St. Raymond website with a list of the number of
families and all of their needs. • Nov 1-‐7: send out a flyer stapled to Scrip flyer w/family descriptions and link to
sign up on St. Raymond website • Nov 19: provide another flyer in Wed. bulletin to build enthusiasm before the
Thanksgiving break • Nov 19: based on community participation for first five families, may offer the
other five families • mid Nov to mid Dec-‐ place box in office to collect gift cards • Co-‐mingle energy with gift wrap initiative • Propose on Monday, Dec 14, 2014 to present our gifts to the Social Worker
during morning assembly
Family Day of Service Betsy Tripaldi Sacred Heart Center • February 19, 2015 – 9:00AM to Noon • 40 volunteers that must be 9 yrs.-‐old. The volunteers will help with the
following job details: FOOD PANTRY
• Sort and bag produce donation • Restock shelves with donated food items • Prepare brown bags for customers • Assist customers in collection their food
CLOTHES CLOSET
• Collect and sort clothing at donation station • Organize and restock clothing racks • Assist customers looking for clothing and help them check out
