CRT® - Important InformationMonitoring System Instructions

This vehicle has now been retrofitted with a CRT particulate filter.

The CRT is a Verified Emissions Reduction Device which substitutes a regular muffler to reduce air pollution. . The CRT will trap particulate matter and other air pollutants, which must later be de-ashed on a regular basis. The Remote Display module (RDM-2) mounted on your dashboard (refer to picture below) will track the accumulation of soot and other maintenance problems.

You will need to track the monitoring lights and understand what each light means. This will enable you to take the correct steps as instructed next.

INITIAL OPERATIONLights off indicate normal operation.

RED & YELLOW LIGHTS ONRed and yellow lights could be lit at the same time. What to do?Treat as “Red Light On” condition.

YELLOW LIGHT ONTemperature or pressure fault has occurred.Continue operation. Truck can be safely driven back to facility at end of shift. Fleet mechanic should check CRTdm alarm (mounted near retrofit) and follow CRTdm alarm diagnosis.

RED LIGHT ONBack-pressure has exceeded opera-tional limits. Service is required.Check the CRTdm alarm (mounted near the retrofit). If red Over Pressure light is on, truck must be taken to maintenance immediately. If not, truck can be safely driven back to maintenance facility at end of shift for service.

OPERACION INICIALLas luces apagadas indican operación normal.
