Elementary School Marjan is participating in a Comenius project “CROSS-CURRICULAR

TEACHING ON CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE TOPICS"which is focused on the

development of professional competences of teaching staff and enhancement of school curricula

through efficient models of teaching.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

1. To contribute to the development of EU dimension of education through LLL by fostering activities

of fellowship and cooperation among schools in Europe.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

1. To increase the quality and efficiency of education providing all students with opportunity to

acquire basic skills and key competences;

2. To increase the attractiveness of cross-curricular teaching and learning exploring the cultural and

natural heritage of the homeland;

3. To increase the quality and European dimension of teacher training through exchange of good

practice.

EXPECTED MEASURABLE RESULTS:

1. Web pages with project participants’ experiences and examples of good practice produced and in

use;

2. Multilingual Compendium of teaching topics related to cultural and natural heritage processed in a

cross curricular approach;

3. Announcements, news, articles registered in the media, radio and TV reports to witness the

promotion of the objectives and outputs of the project

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

- Project meetings of all institutions involved in the partnership;

- Mobilities of staff involved in the project;

- Exchanges of experience and good practice among all project partners;

- Public presentations of methodical procedures in each host school for guest teachers;

- Creating, publishing and disseminating project experiences and results;

- Creating and exhibiting of related students' works during partner meetings;

- Fieldwork and project research on cultural and natural heritage topics present in every partner school.
