First Draft• By having my draft that I had created it made it easier to organise the photos on the page. I

knew that by looking at my plan I knew what things I wanted to include. Also by using the Photoshop skills, I used was able to put them into practice and use different effects on my pictures to make them look professional. I included all these things in my magazine:

• Masthead

• Headline

• Splash

• Main Cover lines

• Date line

• Main image was in the centre of the page

• Lure

• Main Cover lines

• Kicker & Explanatory Text

• Barcode

I first started with the banner as it is situated at the top of the page. The banner is the front page headline which goes across the full width of the page. Underneath that, I put the masthead which is the title at the top of the page which identifies the newspaper of magazines. The date line was positioned at the top right hand corner underneath the masthead so it would clear for the audience to see it. Then I put the headline underneath the mast head as the main heading with the biggest font which relates to the main story and the splash underneath that which is the main story on the front page which identifies the newspaper or magazine. Then I put in main cover line, lure, image and kicker with explanatory text with a barcode underneath.

Taking My PhotosI took a variety of different photos so that I could have a wide range to choose from. This way I could look at all of the different photos and decide which one was best for the front cover.

Final VersionThis is the final version of my magazine

and it shows that I have followed my draft but changed a few things to make it look better.

I decided to use a picture of a student at my school looking very worried and with the headline ‘Worried About Exams?’ because I believe that this is an important feature to cover in a school magazine.

I used the blue colours to display Sacred Heart High School as this is the schools colours but then I decided to use a bright yellow for some of the text as I thought that it stood out well against the photo background.
