JULY 2010 THE NEWSLETTER OF THE SCOTTSDALE LIONS CLUB THE NEWSLETTER OF THE SCOTTSDALE LIONS CLUB .... From Our Club President .... New Beginning As I write my first monthly note as President, it's 107°F and the start of a new year for Lions. It looks like we'll have to wait for a few months for our next White Cane event, but once it cools off we need to get out there and spread the message and raise more money. As this is a new beginning, a new year, I'd like us all to consider how and what we plan to contribute this year to the community. We all have busy lives, but we became Lions because of the need to do for others. When we meet on July 13th, we'll discuss committees and programs and who will be spearheading these programs. There are so many opportunities to get involved in something that is both fun and meaningful. We are all here for a purpose, choose yours and act upon it. Yours in Lionism, Lion Allen JOIN US!! New Beginning

As I write my first monthly note as President, it's 107°F and the start of a

new year for Lions. It looks like we'll have to wait for a few months for our

next White Cane event, but once it cools off we need to get out there and

spread the message and raise more money.

As this is a new beginning, a new year, I'd like us all to consider how and

what we plan to contribute this year to the community. We all have busy

lives, but we became Lions because of the need to do for others. When we

meet on July 13th, we'll discuss committees and programs and who will be

spearheading these programs. There are so many opportunities to get

involved in something that is both fun and meaningful. We are all here for a

purpose, choose yours and act upon it.

Yours in Lionism,

Lion Allen
