My 6 Options

My 6 options that I found the most interesting through this entire unit were the Careers Unit, the Time Management unit, the Healthy Eating unit, the Internet safety u nit, and the Web evaluation unit. I will now present these 6 options of mine, to you!

Careers Unit

• The things I learned from this assignment were that there are many types of jobs that I could have when I grow up. Mostly, I want to be a pediatrician more than else, because in my views, a children's doctor is probably the best job on Earth. Probably because its easy and fun to works with kids. Or it just could be the money. I don't really care about whatever one, I just want that job :3.

• The thing I did really well in this assignment was again, the PowerPoint. I really enjoyed doing the PowerPoint because it was the most fun thing about this unit. Even though it was quite long, again, it was really fun to make one, and to present it in front of people who don't really give a cent about your presentation. That's when you know your presentation was well-done.

• The most challenging and interesting part of the assignment was finding out what types of careers I need to pick. I couldn't really find any jobs that I really like, so I just had to pick a random one. Well, 2 random ones, that is. I don't really want to be a lawyer, neither a teacher. But, whatever. I had to pick something, so why not the jobs that were the most interesting?

Time Management

• What I learned in this unit was that my time management skills weren't really good. I don't really think that I manage my time very well because of the fact that I usually waste my time, or just work really slowly. Because of these things, my work usually gets delayed, or worse, even unfinished * cough* cough* MATH *cough *cough*

• The thing I did really well in this unit was the quizzes and the PowerPoint presentation. I found the quizzes quite easy, and amusing. The PowerPoint I made was quite long, sadly :(, but it was quite fun making it. So, technically, these two things were probably the best I had done in this unit.

• The most challenging and interesting part of the assignment was finding out about yourself. I didn't really believe the facts about my work habits ( subconscious level is taking me over :O). Eventually, I found out a WHOLE lots info about me, some which isn't very productive. I might want to change my habits, but lets save that for some other time :3.

Healthy Eating

• What I learned from this unit was why its important to eat healthy. If your overweight, you are running a high chance of heart disease, blindness and kidney failure. Also unwanted fat deposits on the thighs, stomach, and back may leave you feeling self-conscious and depressed.

• What I found interesting in this unit was that in Supersize Me, the guy (Morgan) actually manages to eat all those burgers. I really can't believe that fact. I have seen Supersize Me four times and I find it upsetting because he could very much die do to the fact that he gained too much weight.

Internet Safety

• In this unit I learned that the internet isn’t always THAT SAFE. I have some practice on being all web-aware ( like finding out which sites are the best and how to protect yourself from hackers and exploiters) and the thing I really found interesting was the Pictochart. I really enjoyed making the Pictochart, because of the fact that it really stands out and says a message about cyber bullying. The other thing I found I interesting was the Social Network movie, which explained the “terrors” of cyber bullying, both to the victim and the bully.

Web Evaluation

• The things I learned from this assignment were that you can not trust all websites. Many websites are misleading or even outdated by...a lot of years. Also, many websites are scams which just want you to fall into their trap and pay and "X" amount of money to them, for no reason at all. Plus, other websites that have false information or misleading information usually belongs to Hackers and other internet thieves.

• The thing I did really well in this assignment was the rubrics. They were really easy and fun to do. I really liked the part where you had to judge whether the sites are acceptable, or excellent. That part. to me, was the best in the assignment because of all that judging in being a sleuth.

• The most challenging and interesting part of the assignment was doing to project on one of the dinosaurs and finding information on it from 3 different sites. I couldn't find any sites at first (that was the difficult part) but once I got all the information about my dinosaur, it was sort of interesting too.
