Doing 10 min. presentation to the Quality of Educations panel, would like some feedback. Promotion at T&T, $7 T-shirts and snowboard contest at Pub.

• ATM usage is on a steady incline • Working on getting a video screen for two of the ATM’s • Working on updating the SA website

George Nicolaou, VP Student Affairs • Finalizing the Cupids Lair event, scheduled for February 13, at Professor Mugs. Has

tickets for Council members to sell. • Interviewing for Int’l councilor position. Should have someone in place by next meeting. Elfina Luk, VP Campus Life • Working on bouldering wall. Engineering will be free of charge because it’s a student

project. • BCIT open house from April 2 -3. Renee Geronimo, VP Public Relations & Marketing • Alumni Mingler was great. Standing room only. Thanks to everyone for their help. • Working on end of the year event for grads. Maybe a dinner cruise. Need involvement and

volunteers. • Working on cut for the cure. Looking into dates. • Loving spoonful working on ‘friends for life’, and needs volunteers. See Renee for more

No progress report 11.7. Question Period • George wants to know if Erin has the technical specifications for the ATM Video. • Erin has all the information for it. • 11.8 Unfinished Business

11.8.1 Friendly amendment to the motion re: Chair Councilor Distribution – Angelia Angelia explains the new assignment of the Chairs. Deep Thind would like on record that he is against the motion to reassign the chairs

Motion: Be it resolved that the 2004/2005 June-May distribution of the Executive Chairs of Schools be changed to: Chair of Business; Chair of Mechanical, Manufacturing & Natural Resources; Chair of Health Sciences; Chair of Construction, Environment & Transportation; and Chair of Electrical, Electronics & Computing. Moved by: Angelia Harris Gray Seconded by: Renee Geronimo 18/1/0 Carried Ben wants to know who a person would report to instead of the Chair of Trades. Angleia explains that the there is no longer a school of trades and had been re-distributed under other Chairs. 11.8.2 Trade Councilor Assignment – Angelia Angelia explains the trade councilor position. Motion: Be it resolved that a minimum of one councilor from trades program be chosen by the respective Chairs that represent Trades students. In the event that a councilor can not be found in a timely manner, it will be to the discretion of the VP of Finance & Administration to make a final decision on the appointment of these councilors. 11.9. New Business

11.9.1 Tax Returns - Elfina Len McNeely from Liberty Tax service wants to come and provide services to students by setting up a table in the Great Hall and help students with their returns. Wants to recruit FINMAN students and may pay a bit. The fee may be $40 with a $10 rebate coupon. Depending on complexity of the return the fee may be a different cost. Advertising from Feb 23 March 5th. Provides service from March 22 April 2. The 20% collected fees will go back in the students assistance fund. If everything goes well, they will extend the services to April 20th to 30th.
