The DetailsThe DetailsPassports: I will need a copy of your son’s passport before we leave. The tour director needs a copy of each student’s passport to show at customs. We have to pay a departure tax that he will do ahead of time. This payment has already been included in the cost of the trip.

Zip-line:. An exciting jungle tour through the canopy has been planned. If for any reason you do not want your son to participate in this activity please let me know.

School In Costa Rica: We will be visiting a school in Costa Rica and a small plastic zip -lock bag with school supplies ( pencils, pens, markers, pads of paper, etc.) from each boy would be a greatly appreciated gesture. no money is needed!

Visas and Immunizations: No special visas, no immunizations necessary(you may want to consult with your family physician), but I will need to know of any medical conditions, medications taken , food allergies, restrictions on activities. Most of this information I can get from the health center.

The Details(Continued)

The Details(Continued)

Contacting Your Son: If for any reason you need to get a hold of me or your son, an emergency number for NETC will be emailed to you before we leave.  Cell phones are not practical. The boys can buy calling cards when we get to Costa Rica  There will be pay phones at the hotels and internet access as well .

Daily Budget: ($40 a day) to cover beverages, a few lunches, small souvenir shopping, tipping and public transportation if necessary.

What to Pack: Because we will be carrying our luggage whenever we change locations, it is recommended that everyone( including my wife) pack as lightly as possible. You are allowed two bags; One medium or small suitcase ( it must fit in the overhead compartment of the plane) and one carry-on such as a backpack or small duffel bag. We will not be checking any bags at the airport in order to expedite any lost bags and other delays.
