Not too long ago, the Steve Orosanye committee report

made far reaching recommendations on how to resize the

bureaucracy and physical structure of governance for cost

effective management.

According to the report, the cost of governance in Nigeria is

one of the highest in the world, we spend about 25 percent

of our budget resources on capital expenditure while other

bulk goes to recurrent expenses. How ready is this new

administration on this plan? How supportive are the masses

towards this novel idea? This and more will be our focus

today on the programme, “Issues of the Moment” as we join
