No. 02 6076 1849 www.corryong.vic.edu.au [email protected] Dear Parents / Carers, Welcome to term 4. I trust that all students have had a great break and families have really enjoyed the time with their children. The last week of term 4 Mr Gavin Heycox took Year 4 on the Snowy Camp which also included shared supervision from Ms Jess Ross, Mr Nigel Adkin and myself. This was such a great time that moved beyond amazing activities, but also built on prior social emotional, team building and problem solving skills for all students. Thank you to Mr H for organising such a great camp, Ms Ross and Mr Adkin for participating in the fun. I truly loved being able to be present also and would like to thank the kids for making it such a great time. The holidayswas not holidays for all as their were many teachers running holiday programs to ensure the year 12 students are well equipped for their upcoming exams. Some Year 12 students ended term 3 relieved that they had completed their practical works in Engineering, Design and Technology and Studio Arts. The Studio Arts broke new ground with the first community student arts exhibition. This night was an absolute blast but moreover was a demonstration of great professionalism and maturity. Our students have definitely moved beyond the status of school and entered the realm of the emerging artist world. We congratulate them all on their great works and thank Mrs Catherine Bijker for creating such a great opportunity. On the same evening Ms Renata Coppola had our musical talents performing at the Historic Machinery Club Rally. Well done to you all, your music created such a great atmosphere for everyone. I definitely enjoyed the Friday evening live performance. Renata and Catherine were also on the Corryong Show committee. There has been great feedback from the community, staff and parents regarding student contribution and participation. This has been great to hear. Thank you everyone that was involved. This week, Year 12 students Ellie Curven and Sophie Hewatt took the first VCE exams with their Indonesian Oral Exam. Congratulations to both who left feeling, not only relieved, but very happy with their performances. This marks the commencement of the VCE exam calendar and also the last weeks we are graced with our amazing Year 12 students. During these last few weeks it is vital we support them all in their efforts and also continue to nurture and encourage them as nerves are heightened. We re proud of all our Year 12s for the effort and study they have put in over the holidays and continue to do so leading up. Is your child getting sick? If your child is presenting any signs of illness; temperature, headaches, sore ears, sore throat, lethargic or just not quite themselves, we ask that you keep them home. This week it seems that many students have come to school not feeling so well with temperatures, clamminess, sore tummies, etc. Please if your child is not their usual healthy self, we ask that you keep them at home so there is not a spread of germs and bugs. Thank you in advances for this consideration of other children and staff. Dates for your diary For those whom missed the last KIT of term 3, there was some vital information for your diaries. Please note the below: Wednesday 16th October: Corryong College Colour Run Wednesday 16th October: ARTS EVENING Opportunity for casual meet & greet for parents, students and all staff, as well as time allocation for formal secondary parent teacher interviews, musical performances, free sausage sizzle, arts exhibition, information sessions for Year 4 to 5, 6 to 7 and 9 to 10 in the senior campus library. Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome to term 4. I trust that all students have had a great break and families have really enjoyed the time with their children.

The last week of term 4 Mr Gavin Heycox took Year 4 on the Snowy Camp which also included shared supervision from Ms Jess Ross, Mr Nigel Adkin and myself. Thank you to Mr H for organising such a great camp, Ms Ross and Mr Adkin for participating in the fun. I truly loved being able to be present also and would like to thank the kids for making it such a great time.
