They must be lead by persons aged 16 years and over and should be on a loose rein and will be required to trot. 2. The attendant must affix the lead rein to the nose band on which it must remain while the pony is in the ring. 3. The rein must go directly from the bit to the rider’s hand, with no extra aid or attachment to or on the saddle. Class 33 Open Intermediate Show Hunter. ATTENDED TO AT ALL TIMES ON THE SHOWGROUNDS.

7. ALL EXIBITORS MUST OBEY THE DIRECTONS OF THE SHOW COMMITTEE & STEWARDS AT ALL TIMES .

JUNIOR SECTION

EVENTS CONFINED TO PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

No entry fee required for the Junior Art Competition or the Handwriting Competition. All entries in the above categories are to be handed in to School Principals by Tuesday 21st June. Each entry must have the child’s name, School and section written on the back. Only one entry per child in the art and handwriting categories.

Prizes consist of vouchers in this section

JUNIOR ART The Annie Small shield will be awarded for the best entry in the Junior Art section (confined to Annaghdown parish)

1. Each competitor will bake 4 items: I 6 White scones (using Glenisk organic yoghurt) II Quiche III Pot of jam (any variety). IV Decorated Carrot cake.

The items should be displayed as one exhibit on a base not exceeding 24’ x 24’’.Glenisk organic yoghurt carton to be included in exhibit. 3 Points will be awarded for texture, taste and presentation. 4. The competition is confined to amateurs, male and female and one tray only per exhibitor at the final. 5. 1St Prize winners of the Home Baking Championship competition in 2002, 2003 and 2004 are not

eligible to enter. 6. The items must be fresh and home cooked by the exhibitor. 7. A special class will be held at each qualifying show. Mass Times: 9am & 11am To Get There: From the Galway Tuam road take the road across from Terry Brennans, Central Tavern, Loughgeorge, Claregalway and continue on straight and you come to Corrandulla Village. From the Galway Headford road take the road to Corrandulla at Corrandulla Barracks Crossroads. HERITAGE DISPLAYS: There will be indoor and outdoor heritage displays. The Annaghdown Heritage Society are organising the indoor display in the meeting room of the Corrandulla Community Centre. On display will be an array of household, school and church items, stamp collections and a large display of photographs. There will also be a cultural display of dance and music. Something for all ages to look forward to.
