The Liturgy of the Day

Today’s Mass is for all of us

who have ever felt that we

don’t “get it.” Even Jesus’

closest disciples had trouble

understanding his message.

Thankfully, Jesus was patient

with them. As we gather today

at God’s invitation, let us pray

to our patient God to help us to

understand what we are to do in

following Jesus and building up

God’s reign.

a la Liturgia del Día

La Misa de hoy es para todos

aquellos de nosotros que alguna vez

nos hemos sentido “despistados” o

que no entendemos. Aun los

discípulos más cercanos a Jesús

tuvieron dificultad en entender su

mensaje. Afortunadamente Jesús

tuvo paciencia con ellos. Reunidos

hoy por invitación de Dios,

elevemos nuestra oración a nuestro

Dios paciente para que nos ayude a

entender lo que debemos hacer si

queremos seguir a Jesús y construir

el reino de Dios.

Question of the Week

How does “jealousy and selfish

ambition” manifest themselves in

my life? Specifically, what do I

have to do to become more

childlike in bearing witness to

Christ?

HOMILIA DE HOY

Proyecto de Homilía

• El “justo” de la Sabiduría,

a cuya integridad y

compromiso se le tiende

“una trampa”, prefigura al

Cristo que encontramos en

el Evangelio de hoy, que

advierte a las generaciones

futuras sobre el costo del

discipulado.

The next 40 Days for Life campaign is less than three

weeks away. Join us starting Wednesday, September

23 as we stand and pray for the lives of the unborn and

for an end to abortion in front of Columbia's Planned

Parenthood abortion clinic.

Just your presence is powerful! Former abortion clinic

director Abby Johnson stated that, from Planned

Parenthood's own internal statistics, their no-show rate

goes up by 75% when Christians are out front of the

abortion clinic on abortion days.

Now is a great time to get involved. Help us build on the

momentum in light of the recent undercover Planned

Parenthood videos revealing the horrors of the abortion

industry - the harvesting of baby organs and parts for

profit. Won't you stand for life with us?

Signing up is easy, and time slots are available in one-

hour increments. See https://40daysforlife.com/local-

campaigns/columbia/ to sign up and for more

information.
