Belief, energy, knowledge and pride shape our future. It’s an exciting thing in the property industry to genuinely be able to say that you’re really in the people business.
I am extremely proud and energised to lead a company which puts people at the centre of everything we do.
AVID Property Group has set a
deliberate course for growth, building
on the successes of its strong
history. We will draw on our decades
of experience and proven delivery
capacity, and leverage this history
as we pursue success, innovation
and customer satisfaction.
We are a team focused on
delivering projects where people
love to live, work and enjoy life.
Our strong collaborative culture, both
within the AVID team and with our
business and community partners,
means we are consistently pushing to
do more, to do better, to innovate and
to go beyond that which is expected.
This collaborative and strategic
approach to doing business,
combined with robust corporate
governance procedures, means
that we can deliver not only very
solid shareholder returns but
also projects of real substance
and value for the longer term.
We’re also very focused on diversity;
not just gender diversity (although
almost half of our executives are
women), but also on diversity of
thought, age, background, culture
and of opportunity.
Over the next five years we will
grow substantially and you’ll see
AVID differently.
We have already started bringing
our vision to life. . .with our Harmony
Project on the Sunshine Coast and
Australia’s first grand linear park
(it’s the size of 10 football fields!) and
at Brentwood Forest in Queensland
and Bloomdale in Victoria, where
we’ve created a new breed of small
lot housing which gives more people
access to a home that suits their
lifestyle. We’re also responding to
the demand for new and clever inner
and near city housing in New South
Wales with our Flinders Street
medium density project which is
just the start of our renewed focus
on the apartment market.
However, there’s more to us than the
proverbial ‘bricks and mortar’. We
are expanding our commitment to
local economies by sourcing goods
and hiring people locally. We are
contributing to community not just
with the usual sponsorship approach
but with meaningful infrastructure
investment and participation
in community development,
environmental and sustainability
initiatives. We have big ideas and we
have the enthusiasm to deliver them.
AVID has embarked on an ambitious
plan to grow and diversify, and we will
achieve this by focusing on people –
our customers, our partners and of
course, our team. After all, we are. . .
AVID.

Culture shows our brand promise in action
Culture, Diversity & Innovation
AVID Property Group genuinely lives to express our brand values in everything we do and everything we say. It’s the topic of conversation and focus from our regional project offices, to our Boardroom.
We know that the way we behave, connect with others and pursue our goals – our corporate DNA – is integral to our long term success, and importantly that of our customers.
Our core values are our operating mantra – AVID – Authenticity, Versatility, Innovation and Dedication – in all that we do.
AVID’s expression of diversity can be seen in many ways throughout the business.
We are a blended group – a mix of skills and backgrounds; a blend of age, gender and cultural origins; people working full-time, part-time, casual and contract.
We embrace freedom of thought and creativity and in doing so, we achieve far more for our shareholders, our partners, our customers and our people.

DUO – VictoriaCHALLENGE:With approximately 70 percent of Casey Cardinia residents working outside the region, and many travelling by car, AVID had to address the issue of convenience and sustainability, whilst making the project economically and environmentally viable.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:1. AVID worked diligently with the City of Casey to rezone 10ha of
Mixed Use Zoning on the Greenfield Site for the Duo initiative.
2. AVID believes that Duo is ground breaking and first to market to provide a great solution taking inspiration from Melbourne’s heritage by taking the ‘shop-top’ retail and home set up from the CBD into the suburbs.
3. Workspaces were designed to accommodate a broader range of uses and additional employees. Each property has an exclusive business entry, separate from your home, solving the problem of work disrupting personal life.
Tempo – QueenslandCHALLENGE:Initially committed to commercial development and subsequently deemed unviable, AVID was to identify a better opportunity for an innovative residential product never seen before in the area, while overcoming the challenges of changing planning consent with the local council.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:1. AVID identified a niche market for a small lot house and land product
not previously available to first home buyers and investors in the area.
2. AVID worked in partnership with Ipswich Council to influence and gain approval for amends to the development consent, presenting long-term benefits for the growth of the region. As a result, AVID’s model has been adopted throughout the growth corridor.
3. Working with a highly respected specialist residential designer, AVID provided a cutting edge turn-key product, a first in maximising the floorspace to lot ratio with integrated outdoor space for those seeking affordable and efficient living.
Breezes Muirhead – NTCHALLENGE:A joint venture with Defence Housing Australia, an innovative approach was required to improve liveability and reduce home cooling costs.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:1. AVID presented an historic and innovative approach to the Breezes Muirhead
masterplan by focusing on solar aspect, allotment orientation and building separation to capture cooling breezes.
2. AVID worked closely with its joint venture partner, instilling new-found innovation and agility across their organisation to bring the ‘Breezeway Model’ vision to life.
Argyle – NSWCHALLENGE:Individual parcels of land controlled by AVID and AVJennings were intertwined presenting significant constraints to either party developing the land.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:1. Collaborate into a joint venture relationship to develop the land co-jointly
and secure the necessary planning outcomes required by Council.
2. A link road was developed to Liz Kernahan Drive to complete the bus route and transport corridor.
3. Delivering over 3.5 hectares of open space featuring a significant riparian corridor and public parks for residents to enjoy.
Innovation and agility deliver new solutions to old challengesInnovation and agility are easy to speak of but actually require careful and persistent nurturing to bring to life.

AVID Property Group’s commitment to financial sustainability can be seen in both the project management principles we apply to our projects and the way in which we maintain involvement in communities long after our construction work is done.
We plan and position our projects to draw on the local workforce and product supply. In doing so, we contribute to the economic vitality of the region. In our industrial, retail and commercial projects, we create facilities, which provide ongoing economic stimulus and employment.
Ultimately, the strongest measure of AVID’s commitment to economic sustainability may be in our commitment to diversity and affordability. By focussing on value at every price point and by employing innovative solutions for specific needs and emerging markets, we can truly contribute to economic sustainability for not only families and businesses but for entire communities.

Sustainability Our team embraces sustainability in all of its forms. We actively seek to contribute and innovate in areas which are particularly meaningful to our customers, our partners and our team.
Community
AVID’s core purpose is to create places where people live, work and spend their leisure time. However, we know that ‘place making’ is much more than physical infrastructure alone. Our focus is on creating connected communities, places where people have a sense of belonging. . . true neighbourhoods.
We foster community through the creation of local events and activities hosted in our parks, by contributing ideas and resources to community clubs and schools, and by energetically contributing to conversation via social media, meetings and workshops.
We also give back to the communities in which we live and work by focusing sponsorship contributions on local needs. Whether it’s cash to purchase musical instruments for a school band or sponsorship of annual Christmas Carol events, our sponsorship approach is local all the way.
“When a sense of community is ignited in a neighbourhood, people feel more connected and welcome, creating a more engaged community.”Jana Gorman, Marketing Manager NSW

Environmental Environmental sustainability is a commitment that AVID chooses to make and you can see it in everything we do. . . from tree planting and purple pipe recycled water systems at Bloomdale in Victoria, to the use of bio-pod water cleansing plants and the revegetation of endemic species in stormwater detention basins at NewBase Business Park north of Brisbane.
Our approach trims cost from our development budgets but delivers so much more to the community in terms of positive environmental management.
Sometimes we get to take an opportunity so much further, as was the case with the Aboriginal Landcare Education Program (ALEP) at our Breezes community in Muirhead, Northern Territory.
Aboriginal Landcare Education Program (ALEP) at Breezes Muirhead NT
The AVID project team initiated an innovative education program in partnership with Greening Australia Northern Territory (GANT) and Defence Housing Australia (DHA). The objective of the program was to provide education and training to
Bloomdale reaches for the stars
At AVID’s Bloomdale community in Victoria, we’re offering our new residents smart choices for water, power and communication technology.
We know everyone wants high-speed internet and to be able to use technology flexibly in their homes. With this in mind, AVID has ensured that the NBN is available to Bloomdale residents from day one and we’re helping to educate people to take full advantage of the benefits.
Also, we know our residents are focused on the wise use of resources. So, with our builder partners, AVID is delivering options for energy efficiency within homes, plus water re-use outside of the home via access to Class A recycled water with a purple pipe system.
As well, AVID is supporting the local economy by planning future nearby employment zones, optimising the opportunity for our residents to work within walking distance of home.
assist indigenous youth in acquiring knowledge, on-site training and ultimately transition them into full time employment while simultaneously securing plant supply for a large residential masterplanned community in Darwin, Breezes Muirhead.
The program consistently recorded one of the highest success rates of any indigenous training program in Australia, with 63 percent of participants so far completing their qualification and going on to work or further education.*
AVID is working with UDIA’s EnviroDevelopment team to achieve exceptional sustainability outcomes.

Customers make our business
With you all the way home
Our customers will ultimately judge the success of AVID’s business approach. These are the people who make potentially the largest investment of their life when they choose to settle in an AVID community.
Our customers may be home buyers looking for a family home, an investor seeking to set up for their future, a retailer wanting to establish premises within an AVID community or someone heading to work in an AVID-designed and built commercial space.
Our customers all have their individual stories. By continually seeking to understand our customers’ needs and the barriers they must overcome in order to realise their dreams, AVID establishes relationships, which are enjoyable, successful, profitable and sustainable for all.
Good relationships only develop where there is trust and good communication.
In an age where technology is ever popular, AVID has taken the opportunity to combine the efficiency and effectiveness of digital tools with the understanding that only comes from actually speaking with another person.
AvidConnect is how our team and our customers get close. AvidConnect is our purpose-built communication platform which connects our people with our customers. It’s two-way, it’s real time and it supports our customers at every step of their buying journey.
In fact, every customer on AvidConnect has a direct line to our National Customer Service Manager. It doesn’t get more personal than that.
You can use AvidConnect to explore or buy our land and apartment projects but you can also do so much more, like choose a home design, get tips on garden design or interior decorating.
And of course, customers can give us feedback, which provides insight that is quite simply invaluable.

Industry partnershipsComplex and technical development processes are simplified through strong and collaborative working relationships with partners and suppliers.
AVID Property Group reaches across the property sector to draw together like-minded partners in support of our commitment to quality, innovation, relevance and speed to market.
These relationships support our customer promise, and this is how we bring together the best minds to meet contemporary challenges and identify future opportunities.
As a national developer of residential and industrial projects, AVID Property Group recognises the importance of supporting and engaging in the professional development of our industry.

Diverse, Sustainable and Affordable Places – Our Property PortfolioWherever you aspire to live, work or invest, no one is as keen to welcome you as AVID. Our approach is focused on 3 key principles:
Placemaking
More than 70 percent of our residential customers are owner-occupiers and have deliberately chosen an AVID community for its amenity and sense of community. Placemaking principles guide our approach to open space, community development, public art and streetscape design.
Infrastructure
We’ve committed $441.2 million to infrastructure development over the next five years as we embed the principles of resilient cities into our development platform.
Affordability
A vast number of our residential customers are first home buyers. We understand these customers are challenged with finance and affordability issues and we will continue to seek solutions through engagement, research and innovation.
