Belief, energy, knowledge and pride shape our future. It’s an exciting thing in the property industry to genuinely be able to say that you’re really in the people business.
I am extremely proud and energised to lead a company which puts people at the centre of everything we do.
AVID Property Group has set a deliberate course for growth, building on the successes of its strong history. We will draw on our decades of experience and proven delivery capacity, and leverage this history as we pursue success, innovation and customer satisfaction.
We are a team focused on delivering projects where people love to live, work and enjoy life.
Our strong collaborative culture, both within the AVID team and with our business and community partners, means we are consistently pushing to do more, to do better, to innovate and to go beyond that which is expected.
This collaborative and strategic approach to doing business, combined with robust corporate governance procedures, means that we can deliver not only very solid shareholder returns but also projects of real substance and value for the longer term.
We’re also very focused on diversity; not just gender diversity, but also on diversity of thought, age, background, culture and of opportunity.
Over the next five years we will grow substantially and you’ll see AVID differently.
We have already started bringing our vision to life. . .with our Harmony address on the Sunshine Coast and Australia’s first grand linear park (it’s the size of 10 football fields!) and at Brentwood Forest in Queensland and Bloomdale in Victoria, where we’ve created a new breed of small lot housing which gives more people access to a home that suits their lifestyle. We’re also responding to the demand for new and clever inner and near city housing in
New South Wales with The Rathbone, a medium density site which is just the start of our renewed focus on the apartment market.
However, there’s more to us than the proverbial ‘bricks and mortar’. We are expanding our commitment to local economies by sourcing goods and hiring people locally. We are contributing to community not just with the usual sponsorship approach but with meaningful infrastructure investment and participation in community development, environmental and sustainability initiatives. We have big ideas and we have the enthusiasm to deliver them.
AVID has embarked on an ambitious plan to grow and diversify, and we will achieve this by focusing on people – our customers, our partners and of course, our team. After all, we are. . .AVID.

Culture shows our brand promise in action
Culture, Diversity & Innovation
AVID Property Group genuinely lives to express our brand values in everything we do and everything we say. It’s the topic of conversation and focus from our regional project offices to our Boardroom.
We know that the way we behave, connect with others and pursue our goals – our corporate DNA – is integral to our long term success, and importantly that of our customers.
Our core values are our operating mantra – AVID – Authenticity, Versatility, Innovation and Dedication – in all that we do.
AVID’s expression of diversity can be seen in many ways throughout the business.
We are a blended group – a mix of skills and backgrounds; a blend of age, gender and cultural origins; people working full-time, part-time, casual and contract.
We embrace freedom of thought and creativity and in doing so, we achieve far more for our shareholders, our partners, our customers and our people.

Tempo – QueenslandCHALLENGE:
Initially committed to commercial
development and subsequently
deemed unviable, AVID was to identify
a better opportunity for an innovative
residential product never seen before
in the area, while overcoming the
challenges of changing planning
consent with the local council.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:
1. AVID identified a niche market for a small lot house and land product as well
as selling completed homes to provide a better commercial proposition for
customers – particularly first home buyers.
2. AVID worked in partnership with Ipswich Council to influence and gain approval
for amends to the development consent, presenting long-term benefits for the
growth of the region. As a result, AVID’s model has been adopted throughout
the growth corridor.
3. Working with a highly respected specialist residential designer, AVID provided
a cutting edge turn-key product, a first in maximising the floorspace to lot ratio
with integrated outdoor space for those seeking affordable and efficient living.
Breezes Muirhead – Northern TerritoryCHALLENGE:
Defence Housing Australia’s brief
to AVID was to deliver an exemplar,
award winning master-planned
residential community, that set
a new benchmark for sustainable
living in tropical climates.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:
1. AVID presented the Breezeway/Greenway principle, an innovative approach
orientating allotments toward the prevailing sea breezes and providing optimal
separation between dwellings to maximise airflow.
2. Site specific Design Guidelines were developed to allow homes to make
the most of natural cooling and substantially improve comfort levels whilst
reducing reliance on air conditioning and ultimately energy consumption.
3. AVID worked closely with the community and authorities to deliver a solar
sensible suburb with many innovative and practical energy, water saving and
ecological initiatives. This effort culminated in seven coveted industry awards
for excellence in innovation, planning and environment from the UDIA and PIA.
Argyle – New South WalesCHALLENGE:
Individual parcels of land controlled
by AVID and AVJennings were
intertwined presenting significant
constraints to either party
developing the land.
SOLUTION & OUTCOME:
1. Collaborate into a joint venture relationship to develop the land co-jointly
and secure the necessary planning outcomes required by Council.
2. A link road was developed to Liz Kernahan Drive to complete the bus route
and transport corridor.
3. Delivering over 3.5 hectares of open space featuring a significant riparian
corridor and public parks for residents to enjoy.
Innovation and agility deliver new solutions to old challengesInnovation and agility are easy to speak of but actually require careful and persistent nurturing to bring to life.
10
Community & InitiativesAVID’s core purpose is to create
places where people live, work
and spend their leisure time.
However, we know that ‘place
making’ is much more than
physical infrastructure alone.
As part of our commitment to
building connected communities,
AVID is proud to support several
local charities, organisations and
sporting groups at each project.
We foster community through
the creation of local events and
activities hosted in our parks, by
contributing ideas and resources
to community clubs and schools,
and by energetically contributing
to conversation via social media,
meetings and workshops.
We also give back to the communities
in which we live and work by focusing
sponsorship contributions on local
needs. Whether it’s cash to purchase
musical instruments for a school band
or sponsorship of annual Christmas
Carols events, our sponsorship
approach is local all the way.

In collaboration with global environmental organisations Take 3, AVID Property Group (AVID) wrapped up its hugely successful year-long Take 3 for the Sea partnership with a series of three finale events in Sydney on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May 2019.
Launched in June 2018, the partnership has seen AVID and Take 3 deliver 15 events across six communities, clearing more than 300kg of waste and engaging almost one million people. Ultimately, the events were about supporting the not-for-profit’s simple message to Take 3 for the Sea.
“AVID has successfully built on its community engagement though this environmental message, establishing a legacy through the partnership and has demonstrated AVID’s commitment to social sustainability, so it’s been a pleasure to join Take 3 in its mission to create a cleaner environment for future generations over the past year,” Cameron Holt, AVID’s CEO said.
Held within our residential communities from the Sunshine Coast through to Regional Victoria, events have included a local school engagement project, an exclusive private film screening at a local cinema and a community clean-up day.
AVID was proud to support Take 3 and encouraged other developers to take a stand on the epidemic that is plastic pollution and join the #take3forthesea movement with their communities.
AVID’s partnership with Take 3 has highlighted the much broader environmental problem we all face as a global society and has enabled us – including our stakeholders and residents – to be educated on how we as individuals can all make simple changes each day to make a difference on the environment and think before we buy and before we throw away!
As Tim Silverwood says “the ocean is downhill from everywhere,” and with access to thousands of communities across Australia, there is an opportunity for developers to take the lead in educating its residents on the negative impact on single use plastics.
Since joining the program, AVID is now even more conscious of its sustainable and community engagement practices within our developments, we are always learning, there is still a lot more to do, but we continue to pledge to ‘Take 3’ whenever we are out to reduce our use of plastic.
11
At AVID, we are committed to supporting local sporting clubs that bring people together, with community spirit often the cornerstone to a team’s success. That’s why we are thrilled to support the Sunshine Coast first elite netball team, the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
Since partnering with the Lightning in their premiership winning inaugural season, we have seen support for this local icon grow exponentially both within Harmony and on the Coast.
Together with STEPS Charity, Harmony helps to support and teach young people with a disability the skills needed to live independently. Since AVID first sponsored its major fundraiser in 2017, STEPS has been able to raise money to cover the 24/7 management and maintenance of its STEPS Pathways College, a unique training facility that’s the first of its kind in Australia for young adults with a disability.

The Harvest Rock Ensemble
Thornton Public School’s music program has more than doubled its participation levels in the past three years thanks to a $15,000 sponsorship by AVID Property Group’s Harvest development at Chisholm. Harvest has sponsored the school’s music program since 2015, helping reduce tuition costs and peaking the children’s interest in music.
The investment is helping build the next generation of musical masterminds with Thornton Public School who named their rock band – The Harvest Rock Ensemble.
“There are now 100 children in the music program and the interest across the school has been high, with tutorials now running every day of the week”, said Thornton Public
School’s Assistant Principal and Band Coordinator, Petra Yager.
“The Harvest Rock Ensemble is a big part of our community events – they just played at our Easter event for over 350 people, showcasing their enthusiasm, skill and talent.” said Nathan Huon, AVID Project Director NSW.
Since partnering with AVID in 2014, the Diggers Rest Football Netball Club has seen membership grow to almost 500 members from just 125 in 2013, many of whom are Bloomdale residents.
The Bloomdale sponsorship has allowed the club to field additional teams, keep membership prices lower for the wider community and purchase new equipment and uniforms for members.

Customers make our business
With you all the way home
Our customers will ultimately judge the success of AVID’s business approach. These are the people who make potentially the largest investment of their life when they choose to settle in an AVID community.
Our customers may be home buyers looking for a family home, an investor seeking to set up for their future, a retailer wanting to establish premises within an AVID community or someone heading to work in an AVID-designed and built commercial space.
Our customers all have their individual stories. By continually seeking to understand our customers’ needs and the barriers they must overcome in order to realise their dreams, AVID establishes relationships, which are enjoyable, successful, profitable and sustainable for all.
Good relationships only develop where there is trust and good communication.
In an age where technology is ever popular, AVID has taken the opportunity to combine the efficiency and effectiveness of digital tools with the understanding that only comes from actually speaking with another person.
AvidConnect is how our team and our customers get close. AvidConnect is our purpose-built communication platform which connects our people with our customers. It’s two-way, it’s real time and it supports our customers at every step of their buying journey.
In fact, every customer on AvidConnect has a direct line to our National Customer Service Manager. It doesn’t get more personal than that.
You can use AvidConnect to explore or buy our land and apartment projects but you can also do so much more, like choose a home design, get tips on garden design or interior decorating.
And of course, customers can give us feedback, which provides insight that is quite simply invaluable.
14
Industry PartnershipsComplex and technical development processes are simplified through strong and collaborative working relationships with partners and suppliers.
AVID Property Group reaches across the property sector to draw together like-minded partners in support of our commitment to quality, innovation, relevance and speed to market.
These relationships support our customer promise, and this is how we bring together the best minds to meet contemporary challenges and identify future opportunities.
As a national developer of residential and industrial projects,
AVID Property Group recognises the importance of supporting and
engaging in the professional development of our industry.

Our vibrant communities are built on the tenets of what makes a place special for generations to come.
That’s why each AVID address strives to achieve an EnviroDevelopment certification, The Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) scientifically-based assessment system that independently reviews development projects. These certifications are judged upon six vital ‘leaves’ – ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community.
We are committed to continually improving our sustainability initiatives, and as a result, we have become the first developer in Australia to achieve EnviroDevelopment awards across all our master-planned communities.

Innovation for tomorrow
“This is an exciting time for AVID as we progress to even more sustainable practices, creating places with integrated transport networks and a focus on wide open space. We are always exploring opportunities to do things better, challenge the status quo and look to the future.
It’s fantastic to see more residents driving their own initiatives to champion sustainable outcomes in our communities – it’s an exciting time for this sector and I can’t wait to see where we can take it next.”

Fully Master-planned Creative Communities
“AVID strives to create communities where engagement is the key to unlocking a holistically sustainable community. Communities where residents take pride in their homes, lay their roots and build lifelong friendships with their neighbours.
AVID’s master-planned communities deliver house and land designs that encourage diversity across the community and the urban designs leverage natural landscape features and encourage activity, exercise and community engagement.”
