This project was created for my recent Apparel Design class. The specifications of the project was to create a cohesive collection with hand drawn sketches.

Design Thesis

The Middle Eastern garment called a ‘sari’ inspired my collection. The draping and ruching used in my garments paired with vivid, high intensity pigmented fabrics and patterns will suggest a sense of sultriness. Bold, confident women of all ages will be the consumers for this collection. Various patterns and textures of silk, chiffon and brocade fabrics will be used. The pallet choice will be gem stone inspired including saphire blue, peridot yellow, emerald green and ruby red. Beaded detail and accents of gold and gem tones will be consistent throughout.
