AGROZER Inc. was established in 2011 in Selçuklu - Konya / Turkey

AGR is currently developing, producing and marketing drilling equipment for mining exploration, site investigation, ground engineering and grouting purposes.

AGR is one of the few companies in the world producing “The Total Core Drilling Technology”. All kind of machinery and equipment necessary for core drilling, fromthe diamond bits to the drill rigs, are produced by AGR.

All design and production works are carried out by the latest computer aided design and manufacturing ( CAD-CAM).

The core drills are CE certified.

Diamond drill bits are produced with the computerized and atmospheric controlled furnaces and marketed with AGRDRILL brand.

AGR is also a pioneer to introduce plastic core trays into the drilling industry to replace wooden or other type of core trays.

The power unit has two variable-flow hydraulic pumps, mounted intandem. They are integrated in the hydraulic system in such way as toadjust their output to the power requirements of the drill unit in a mostefficient way. In hard formations, impregnated bits are more economical to run than surfacebits and they normally offer better durability against tough abuse and roughhandling and provide greater resistance to wear in fissured formations.

SURFACE SET DIAMOND DRILL BITSSurface set bits manufactured for high performance give high penetration rate,long service life and good adaptability to variable formations. The diamonds inthese bits are arranged in special patterns, developed from many years of practical field experience, which vary according to the size of stone used. Such patterns play an important role in the service life and penetration rates of the drill bit. The diamonds are embedded or bonded in a matrix which has high resistance to erosion.

All surface set diamond bits are made from a very hard matrix.

Surface set bits are available in different profiles to produce maximum penetration rates and straight holes foreach specific type of bit; three are standard (semi-round, step type, step type with face discharge) and others areoptional.

The flushing medium is pumped through the drill string, between the inner and outer tubes of the core barrel,providing three major functions, cooling and lubricating the drill bit and transportation of cuttingsup out of the drill hole. As conditions vary widely from one drilling operation to another, it is difficult to define ab-solute parameters for the fluid volume to be used during drilling. Some factors that influence the amount of fluidvolume include: ground conditions, the viscosity of the fluid used, the waterway design of the bit and theannular space between the core barrel/rods and the wall of the drill hole. In general, the volume of fluidrequired for cooling the bit increases with the hardness of the rock. In addition, a higher fluid volumewill be required to transport larger cuttings, such as those encountered in broken, abrasive formations. Itshould be remembered that a minor build-up of cuttings at the bit face will assist in abrading the matrix,thus allowing the bit to cut freely and maintain its sharpness.

When drilling with impregnated bits, the lowest possible bit load should be applied that still provide asatisfactory rate of penetration. Excessively high bit pressure will only result in abnormally high wearof the bit. At the same time, too low bit pressure will polish the diamonds and the bit will lose its selfsharpeningability.

Only AAA super quality selected diamonds with highly polished surface, toughcrystals with high impact resistance are used.

Fastdrill standard diamond sizes are 10/15, 20/25, 30/50 and 50/70 spc. As a general

rule, the softer the formation the larger is the diamond (10/15, 20/25 spc) to be used.

While in hard formations, smaller diamonds (30/50, 50/70 spc) are used.

Many factors influence the performance of impregnated bits. In addition to the type of formation being

drilled, factors such as hole diameter, depth, ground conditions, type of drill, weight on bit, water flow

and RPM all have an impact on performance. The top priority of today’s drillers is performance. To

achieve optimum drilling production while balancing bit life, a correlation between RPM and penetration

rate has been developed for impregnated diamond bits. This parameter is referred to as Rotation per

centimeter (RPC). This parameter can be utilized as a guideline to increase penetration rates while

maintaining reasonable bit life. As an example; in N size at 1100 rpm, 1100/67= 16.4 cm/min penetration

rate is suitable.

CTC (CRUSHED TUNGSTEN CARBIDE) BITSCTC is another type of tungsten carbide bits manufactured of crushed carbide chips with a granular size of 2-5 mm,mixed with a special alloy.CTC bits have considerably more cutting edges than standard TC bits and are recommended in medium to mediumhard sedimentary formations.CTC bits cause less vibration and offer better core recovery than standard TC bits.

TC ( TUNGSTEN CARBIDE ) BITSCarbide bits are normally used for coring in softer rock formations, overburden drilling, and cleaning of drill holes.These bits have octagonal tungsten carbide inserts that are ground at an angle of 10° to form the cutting edges. Thequality of the tungsten carbide chosen has been specially developed for rotary drilling to give high wear resistance.

REAMING SHELLSReaming shells are designed to be placed behind the drill bit and the core barrel to ream the hole. A reaming shell hasto be replaced when its diameter becomes less than that of the new bit to be introduced in the hole. This is intendedto avoid new bits getting stuck in a too slim hole. A reaming shell also helps to stabilize the core barrel. Reaming shellsare available for all types of core barrels and drill bits.Standard Fastdrill reaming shells are set using especially chosen diamonds, with a stone size of 30/50 spc. Welldesigned waterways between the diamond segments facilitate effective flushing and contribute to long

The hole depths keep increasing and therefore the rings of today are getting more powerful.The strecght of the rods must be suitable for the conditions that are getting more difficult. For the high performance rods, it is essential to use very high quality steelmaterial. AGR uses steel material that is at least 20 - 30 % over the mechanical values given in the related standards.The straightness is also very imoprtant for the drill rods. Although the standards say 1/2000 straightness, AGR rods have straightness 1/6000.

The seamless cold drawn pipes create difference especially on hard contidions. Additionally, the cold drawing process gives very high mechanical values andprecision on the dimensions. AGR uses the high performance cold drawn seamless pipes from the prominent suppliers around the world.

AGR drill rods are manufactured with the most advanced production techniques. The best raw material that is available in the industry is used.Thanks to the heat treatment and the CNC machining, always the rods for top performance, economy and the productivity are produced.

For the quality control in evry stage of the production, AGR has an in-house laboratory. All raw materials tested withx-ray spectrometer before the acceptance. Also the equipment for the microscopic metallurgical testing and hardnesstesting are available. Additionally, with an especially developed test instrument, the threaded joints are tested for themaximum pull and torque values.

The profile of the WL rods is very special. and they must be produced with a strict tolerance. AGR drill rods aremanufactured with high precision CNC lathes and specially produced cutting tips. All WL threads available in themarket can be produced. Every single thread is checked with a master gauge just after machining.

Another necessity for the outstanding performance is to increase the strenght of the pipe ends where the jıints will be.The pipe and of the AGR drill rods are heat treated with a computer controlled, advanced technique that exist only infew of manufacturers around the world. Thanks to this treatment, the strenght of the rods is increased about 30 - 40%.

Male end of the rods are coated with a special chemical in order to prevent any potential galling.

In addition to the WL rods, AGR is capable to produce conventional drill rods like AWJ-BWJ-NWJ with friction weldingtechnique that provides a very strong joining between the flexible, seamless cold drawn midbody and the high strenght couplings.

Heavy duty type, light weight core trays are designed for the storage and the carriage of the core samples.• The special core trays are made of very high quality recyclayed polypropylene copolymer. For the case of usage and storage under direct sunlight, boxes arestrenghtened against UV with special additives. They can be used in rough climate conditions between +50 °C to -35 °C.• Core trays are made in four different sizes. • AGR Core trays can be used with or without the lids. Lids lock to the box by itself. In case of any extra safety requirement, there are holes on the box and the lid for wirelocking and lead sealing.• The core trays nest together when empty and stack when full. That reduces the transport and storage costs. Core trays can be handled by one single person easily. It isideal for the places where access is limited.• There are four different types of core trays for different core barrels. The lid is common for all sizes.

• Little storage and low concentrations: 0,5 to 1,5 Kg/M3 of water, to obtain 40 to 90 sec marsh viscosity.• Non toxic, non polluting polymer.• Easy to mix.• Avoid cake, there is no warping in water well drills.• Reduce torque on inhole equipment.• Improve drilling penetration rates.• Better cuttings removal.• Better core recovery in unconsolidated formations: when POLYCOL 60 S is diluted in water, it produces long molecular chains which deposit on the hole andcore, increasing stability and integrity.• Easy to destroy, by adding bleach or hydrogen peroxyde (2 l/M3 of mud).• For fresh water only. For salted water, use POLYCOL 60 SM.

Blend of polyacrylamides/sodium acrylates.

Determine the concentration: - 0,5 Kg/M3 for hard rocks.- 1 Kg/M3 for instable layers.- 1,5 Kg/M3 for 100% core recovery in sandy, friable sandstones, powdery schists, gravels, alluvions.Pour POLYCOL 60 S slowly on a jet of water, or use a mixer. Do not use shale shakers to carry off cuttings from the mud.When drilling, the polymer deposits on the sides of the hole, core and the cuttings to stabilize the walls, so it is necessary to add some product time to timewhen viscosity falls.If the viscosity decreases too rapidly, maybe there is a problem of acidity. Add 0,2 Kg of soda ash by M3 of mud.POLYCOL 60 S is compatible with nearly all kinds of polymers for drilling muds. It’s incompatible with Bentonite and attapulgite muds.

Determine the concentration:- 1,0 litre/M3 for hard rocks.- 2,0 litres/M3 for instable layers.- 3,0 litres/M3 for 100% core recovery in sandy, friable sandstone, powdery schist, gravels, alluvions.Pour POLYCOL 60 LS directly in water. The mud is ready immediately. Do not use shale shakers to carry off cuttings from the mud.When drilling, the polymer deposits on the sides of the hole, core and the cuttings to stabilize the walls, so it is necessary to add some product time to timewhen viscosity falls.If the viscosity decreases too rapidly, maybe there is a problem of acidity. Add 0,2 Kg of soda ash by M3 of mud.POLYCOL 60 LS is compatible with nearly all kinds of polymers for drilling muds. It’s incompatible with bentonite and attapulgite muds.

Blend of polyacrylamides/sodium acrylates in emulsion.

• Little storage and low concentrations: 1,0 to 3,0 litres/M3 of water, to obtain 35 to 70 sec marsh viscosity.• Non toxic, non polluting polymer.• Reduce torque on inhole equipment.• Avoid cake, there is no warping in water well drills.• Improve drilling penetration rate.• Better cuttings removal.• Better core recovery in unconsolidated formations: when POLYCOL 60 LS is diluted in water, it produces long molecular chains which deposit on the hole andcore, increasing stability and integrity.• Easy to destroy, by adding bleach or hydrogen peroxyde (2 l/M3 of mud).• For fresh and salted water.
