    WAL-MART IN INDIA Wal-Mart enters India in 50:50 JV with Bharti.

    The first of the stores, which will sell groceries, consumerappliances and fruits and vegetables to retailers and smallbusinesses, is slated to open in north India by the end of 2008.

    Bharti Retail, the 100-per cent subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises,
