Page 8: CO.PITCH: Title Pitching Org(s) Logo(s) · CO.PITCH PROCESS What is the process for developing a Co.Pitch? Part 1: Before the Acceleration Workshop CE100 Member has an idea for a

• Achieving the transition to a circular economy requires thinking differently

• Collaboration has a key part to play

• Co.Projects offer you a vehicle for precompetitive cross-sector or cross-value chain collaboration

• Use Co.Projects to build the networks and insights you need to seize circular economy opportunities and overcome challenges

CURRENT & RECENT CO.PROJECTSWhat have recent Co.Projects looked at?

Co.Project Project Objective

Biomimicry and Packaging

The team are looking at how to use biomimicry to solve plastics challenges. The participants will will work closely with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s New Plastics Economy initiative to identify the key challenges within the area of plastics packaging and will then use these challenges as case studies.

Modularity in ICT The innovation cycle within the ICT sector is resource intensive, generates excessive waste, and accounts for negative externalities in the system. The Co.Project will answer the question: How can modular design decouple the innovation cycle from resource consumption and enable a more effective, zero waste system?

Re:Tex Cotton and Wool

The Co.Project seeks to address the risk of chemical contamination when recycling textiles. We will identify key waste streams to test, with a focus on post-consumer cotton garments and home textiles and wool, and develop a testing methodology based on risk assessment, developing a method for risk mitigation.
