Cool Chain for Improving Export Potential of Thai Namdokmai Mango to Japan

Abstract According to the Thai�s mango exporter who exports Namdokmai mangoes to Japan, he said that the demand of the Fresh mangoes is very high but Thailand do not have enough capability to meet their needs. That may be caused by the demand of the best quality mango is so high that Thai farmers do not have sufficient knowledge to plant, crop, storage and suitable conditions for transportation to be good on quantity and quality.The integrators do not do in the proper way to care for great storage. It, therefore, causes damage to the mango skin, mango disease and insects. Air transportation is necessary since mangoes don't last long after being harvested. This is the reason why the transportation cost is high. The researchers, therefore, applied cool chain by using suitable cultivation that firstly is the distance between the trunks, soil preparation, fertilization, treatment, use simulation to improve the process in the plant of the integrators to take a shorter time, and to suggest suitable temperature and weather conditions for

storage including appropriate package for transport from the farmers to the integrators, the integrators to the exporter in order to increase productivity in terms of quantity and quality, enhance export potential of Namdokmai mangoes to Japan, reduce the amount of waste reduction and increase a number of the verified mango can export to Japan.
