Interfaces for IntegrationWhere required, Control Desk solutions by Commend can be operated in concert with a wide and varied spectrum of external systems. Standardised interfaces for OPC (Open Connectivity), SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) and other technologies offer flexible, secure connections to external systems (e.g. public address solutions, CCTV systems, building management equipment, etc.).

Audio, data and video interfaces in the form of easily installable add-on cards ensure the harmonious interplay between Commend solutions and external systems. Supported options range from the use of simple signal contacts for control and messaging purposes to the seamless integration of entire systems (e.g. SIP telephone systems) into an Intercom 2.0 solution.

SoftwareComWIN visualises – controls – automates. Commend’s powerful visualisation software provides a quick overview of all system areas and components, enabling instant, well coordinated action in case of emergencies.

The Intercom Client package transforms any Windows-based PC into a fully workable call station, without the need for any additional hardware. On the screen the operators can see and interact with the representation of a regular Commend Intercom Terminal with numeric keypad, function keys and display. Especially when combined with a touch screen, the possibilities of this “Intercom over PC” solution are virtually unlimited.

CCTV integrationVideo support is a standard requirement in any security solution. As such it is, of course, also provided by our Control Desk system. This feature is essential because it provides the only way of identifying persons and events properly in critical situations.

With the CONDUCTOR you can easily set up a full overview of all video cameras on your Intercom system, whether on the clear TFT display of the Basic Terminal or on the larger-sized Touch Screen Module.

Connecting a recording system enables capturing video and audio for future reference.

Superior speech intelligibilityCONDUCTOR provides what hardly any other solution is able to provide: audio in high-definition quality at a sound volume that is second to none in the industry (up to 100 dB).

Another feature that is unique in Intercom solutions is the 16 kHz bandwidth, which provides the additional option of professional Public Address applications and voice announcements. After all, information that cannot be understood is worthless.

What is more, OpenDuplex® also allows users hands-free speaking and listening even in indoor environments with loud ambient noise.

Scalable to any requirementsYou get exactly what you want – “not less, but maybe even more!” Thanks to the modular building-block system, the overall solution can be tailored precisely to the specific needs and wants of customers and end users. When the Control Desk is placed in a freely accessible location and discretion is required, an add-on handset is essential. If non is required, the module can simply be omitted.

In case your requirements grow with time, the system extends quickly, easily and sustainably to meet the extra challenges.

Everything under controlWith some Control Desk solutions, handling three call requests, an emergency call, an alarm, two open doors and gates in a systematic, controlled manner can be extremely difficult. With the new CONDUCTOR, tasks like these are easy to manage, as there is a whole range of functions to actively support the operator. In addition to the various display versions with optimised user guidance (e.g. calls can be prioritised automatically and listed on the display), there are several programmable direct dialling buttons that can be set to light up in various colours and flashing patterns to indicate the status of the connection. Users are guided through the functions and procedures with visual and custom definable acoustic clues.

Optimised designThe CONDUCTOR’s high-quality, highly innovative product design and optimised construction are based on more than a quarter of a century of Commend experience and expertise in Control Desk engineering. This is reflected in the very short installation time (optional desktop or fitted installation), but also in the accommodation of various ergonomic requirements. For example, the entire console unit can be tilted to adjust it instantly to any ambient light and seating conditions.

Security meets durabilityThere is a lot of meaning behind these two words, especially where the CONDUCTOR Control Desk is concerned. For example, there are the software features that a constantly monitoring the functionality of the entire Control Desk (including loudspeakers and microphones, main lines, and even the connections between modules). But there are also mechanical aspects such as the IP 50 dust protection rating, all contributing to the overall security and durability of the solution. Where the selection of materials is concerned, great care was taken to ensure a high level of resistance against chemical substances and physical impact. As a result, the CONDUCTOR is suitable for use even under extreme ambient conditions and temperatures of up to 70°C.

So when it comes to designing our Control Desk solutions, we are happy to be able to leverage some of the latest technologies for your ultimate benefit. One of the resulting innovations, the Touch Screen Module, for example, enables you to control the overall system intuitively and with context-specific system support to assist you in your current activities. Other features, such as extra large physical buttons and labels for programmable keys, are still essential for everyday use of the systems. EXTENSION MODULES FOR SERIES CD

Direct Dialling Module CDDD 32PUp to 3 Direct Dialling Modules with 32 buttons each can be connected.
