I decided to make them both wear Ankara since this continues to embrace the reggae culture throughout the magazine because Caribbean’s have African ancestors. Their ancestry is reflected in my magazine, reflecting on the Caribbean culture as a whole due to the fact that Caribbean’s, especially Rastafarians, are models, this allowed me to think carefully about the layout of my content page such as where I would composition my model on the page because their bodies are facing different directions. Secondly, I thought about the shot I took the images since this plays a huge part on how I would composition my models on the contents page. For example, some of my images are taken at a full shot whereas some are taken at a Mid shot or close up. This is because I wanted to experiment how my models will fit the frame of the contents page, and whether they would a full shot or mid shot will create more or less were standing apart from each other, this would distract the audience from focusing on the text because the distance between both models would overall make the image look like two separate images which would not be suitable for the contents page. This is highlighted in my initial design

Content Analysis

In my photo shoot plan, I highlighted the four different poses I would like both models to perform for my shoot. Out of the four options, I chose the last option which is how one of the models will have their arms around the other model and have a straight face. As you can see, this turned out successful however, in order to experiment more with this particular pose, I directed my model by telling them to stand and look away and at the camera. By directing my

For my contents page , I used two models, Vivien and Kanyin. I decided to make them both wear Ankara since this continues to embrace the reggae culture throughout the magazine because Caribbean’s have African ancestors. Their ancestry is reflected in my magazine, reflecting on the Caribbean culture as a whole due to the fact that Caribbean’s, especially Rastafarians, are passionate about their roots. In addition to this, my models clothes are very bright and contain different patterns, followed by the accessories they are wearing, overall, representing the fashion within the African and Caribbean culture.

models, this allowed me to think carefully about the layout of my content page such as where I would composition my model on the page because their bodies are facing different directions. Secondly, I thought about the shot I took the images since this plays a huge part on how I would composition my models on the contents page. For example, some of my images are taken at a full shot whereas some are taken at a Mid shot or close up. This is because I wanted to experiment how my models will fit the frame of the contents page, and whether they would a full shot or mid shot will create more or less space for the text.

Finally, I thought it was very important for both models to stand close together because this would simplify the layout of my content page due to the fact that the text would be layered beside my models. If the models

were standing apart from each other, this would distract the audience from focusing on the text because the distance between both models would overall make the image look like two separate images which would not be suitable for the contents page. Contents Page Final Outcome Analysis

This is my initial design for my content page. The purpose of a content page is to navigate the reader through the magazine, specifically highlighting each topic on each page. As you can see, I wanted to include more than one image on

During the process of making my contents page, I experimented with the different shots I took of my models, ranging from a full shot, mid shot and a close up. As you can see, each shot creates a certain space for the text to fill however, out of all three tests, I decided to go with the second. This is because the close up image means that most of the text would have to be over layered on the image whereas the full shot test would means that the text would be neatly besides the image. But for my contents page, I wanted the text to both overlay and be compositioned neatly next to the image because this would fill the entire frame of the contents page instead of the text being separated or part of the image.

Secondly, I added a quote by the famous reggae artist, Bob Marley, since he is an iconic figure in the Caribbean and in order to make the quote stand out, I highlighted the main words ‘Love, Heart Destiny’ with Rasta colours. I also layered the quote on my models Black skirt, due to the fact the colour of the text and the skirt contrast with each other, overall causing the quote to appeal to the audience.

With the use of the font ‘PoplarSTD’, I informed the audience about the
