Welcome to Beaver Ridge United Methodist
Church. It is our desire to make this a place
where you will feel the presence of God and
experience friendships, support, and God’s
purpose for your life.
If this is your first time here, we hope you
will consider making us your church home.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

your way out. We'd love for you to know a
little more about Beaver Ridge UMC and we
hope you will return again soon.

McGlasson in the death of Pat’s sister and Wendy’s
aunt, Joyce Bates, on September 18th.
WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
Donations Collected Today for Hunger Hike
Our youth will be at the doors this morning at the end of the
service to collect money for next Sunday’s Hunger Hike. All
donations will go to purchase food for our food pantry.
Baby Shower Invitation
You are invited to a baby shower for Mandy (Hash) Million this
Saturday, October 1st, from 1:00-3:00 pm in the lobby of our
Family Life Center. Mandy is registered at Baby’s R Us and Target.
Hurry! Sign Up Now for Saturday’s Dinner!!
Want a free dinner just for donating to the sanctuary renovation
fund? All your $50 donation (per person, of course) goes to the
fund, so why not enjoy some good food and conversation in
exchange? The dinner will be held this Saturday, October 1st, 6:30
pm, at the home of Marc & Erica Zuckerman with the meal pre-
pared by Betty Joyce, friends and family. Make your check out to
BRUMC, mark it Sanctuary Renovation Fund, and turn it in to the
office by this Wednesday. Only the first 24 reservations earn a
free dinner, so don't dally!
Sunday Morning Sound/Computer Help Needed
The audio-visual team is looking for more volunteers to work
either the sound or computer on Sunday mornings. Paige Lann or
Lisa Howard can train you very easily on how to work the magic
that goes on upstairs during worship. Let this be a way to offer
your service to the church once a month. If interested, contact
Paige, [email protected].
Blessing of the Animals is Saturday!
All creatures great and small are invited to our “Blessing of the
Animals” this Saturday morning at 10:00 on the church lawn. We
will sing praise to God for all his creation and bless each animal
by name! Bring your pet(s) and join us!
UMW Circle Meeting
Sarah Circle will meet Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm at the
home of Zeni Schleter. Marita Vornehm will present the program.
Children's Church Needs You! Yes, YOU!
Children's Church needs volunteers for early service, traditional
service and Sunday school in order to comply with Safe Sanctu-
ary policies. The children are the present and future of Beaver
Ridge and in order to grow we need your help. If you’re worried
about having to teach or prepare a lesson, don't be...that's why
we have Travis, our children’s director. To volunteer, please email
Travis at [email protected].
October Senior Beavers Outing
The Senior Beavers will be going to Carver’s Apple Orchard
in Cosby on October 11th. Meet at the church at 10:00 am. Lunch
will be at Carver’s Restaurant. We hope to see some beautiful fall
colors on this trip! Be sure to call BJ at 690-1680 or Jackie at 690-
1187 to save your seat on the van.
2nd Annual Pumpkin Patch Cruise In is October 14th
Mark your calendar for Friday, October 14th from 4:00-8:00 pm to
come out and enjoy some music, fellowship, and purchase a
pumpkin or two! Proceeds go to our food pantry and other
mission projects. Cruise on in! Cars, trucks and motorcycles
welcome!! This event will be held in the front church parking lot.
